ASSERT – Came from last place to Win!
7/4 joint-favourite for an A10 at Hove last Sunday ASSERT was beaten just over a length by Fabulous Theatre and the July 14 son of Skywalker Ace was sent off a 3/1 chance for the A10 at 6-28 last night. Although racing in rear and suffering crowding at the 3rd bend ‘Asa’ ran on strongly to beat the Derek Knight trained Maketherounds by a length and a half! Owned by Diane Benson Assert clocked 31.17 (-20) 30.97 calculated when winning his 8th race at Hove!

SIZZLERSCHEYENNE clocked 16.67 calculated when finishing 2nd beaten just over a length by Ascension last Friday hence booking his place in last nights Final! Sent off a 5/1 shot for the Owners Bonus Series D1 Sprint Final at 7-16 the August 12 son of Hondo Black owned by Dave and Joy Cook didn’t get the run of the race! Baulked at the 1st bend ‘Rocky’ clocked 16.88 (-10) 16.78 calculated when finishing in 4th place beaten just under four lengths by Fridays Angel who is trained by Tony Taylor.
