WINNER

After an Irish win at Galway in February SIZZLERS SPRING had two runs over 515 metres at Hove back in April. Returning from seasonal rest the April 2016 daughter of Sparta Maestro got off the mark at the seaside track on her third attempt! Sent off a 7/2 chance for the D2 Sprint at 6-03 she showed good early pace and soon led. Keeping on well she held off the strong challenge from kennel mate Sisters Mister to win by 1/2 a length! Owned by Dave and Joy Cook ‘Sizzlers Spring’ clocked 16.74 (-5) 16.69 calculated when winning at Hove for the 1st time. SISTERS MISTER was the 9/4 favourite but he suffered crowding on the run-in when making his challenge! Clocking 16.79 (-5) 16.74 calculated he finished in 2nd place making it a ‘Norah Mac’ one-two!

How Our Other Runners Fared

10/1 outsider OBEY THE RULES suffered crowding at 1/2 way in the D2 Sprint at 2-52 and clocking 16.96 (-10) 16.86 calculated he finished in 3rd place beaten three lengths by Punk Rock Hero. Kennel mate SPIDERMAN was the 2/1 favourite but he missed his break! Finishing in 6th place he clocked 17.11 (-10) 17.01 calculated when beaten just under five lengths by the winner.

BALLYSTEEN SKY was an 8/1 chance for the A10 at 4-09. Crowded at the 4th bend and again on the run-in he finished in 4th place clocking 31.41 (-20) 31.21 calculated when beaten just over four lengths by Paddys Skywalker.

COCKNEY LASS checked badly at the 2nd bend in the D3 Sprint at 4-29 and beaten a distance in 6th place she finished the race lame. Cockney Lass will be fully checked over on her return to the kennel.

Slow away and baulked at the 4th bend AFTER SHOCK finished 4th in the A8 at 5-44. Clocking 31.51 (-10) 31.41 calculated our 5/1 shot was beaten four lengths by Whereyoubeen.
