MINEOLA LION beat North Hill by a neck in A4 grade on the 3rd July. He found ‘trouble’ in running when well beaten by Amys Puma on his latest run and the April 18 son of Laughil Blake was sent off a 7/1 chance for the A3 at 10-17. Showing good early pace he led at the 1st bend before racing clear to beat the Derek Knight trained  Sparkinthenight by just over 4 lengths! Owned by Steve Barton, Lesley Stocker,  Norah McEllistrim and Mike Owens ‘Mineola Lion’ clocked 29.69 (-20) 29.49 calculated when winning for the 5th time at Hove!

A 9/2 chance for the A1 at 10-53 CROHANE BERTIE was badly baulked at the 1st bend and again at the 3/4 mark! Clocking 30.47 (-20) 30.27 calculated he finished in 3rd place beaten three and a half lengths by Shotgun Jazz who is trained by Derek Knight.

SCART ALICE was a 6/1 chance for the A7 at 11-09. Always handy she challenged on the run-in but had to settle for 2nd place! Clocking 30.80 (-20) 30.60 calculated she was beaten just 3/4 of a length by the Gemma Davidson trained Burninupthesand.
