SATURDAY HOVE REPORT

Saturday 14th October 2017  –  HOVE Report

WINNER

SUMMERVILLE KATE  –  Racing Clubs 160th Winner!

SUMMERVILLE KATE was added to the Norah Mac Racing Club at the end of July but sadly the July 15 daughter of Forest Master picked up an injury soon after making her ‘Club’ debut in a D3 Sprint on the 5th August where she finished 3rd beaten two lengths by Sister Tootsie. Off the track for nine weeks ‘Kate’ returned to beat Clairkeith Sofia a ‘head’ in a two-dog Trial at Hove last Monday and she was sent off a 7/2 chance for the D3 Sprint at 10-13 last night. Rewarding ‘Club Members’ patience she led at the 2nd bend and keeping on well beat the Maria Collins trained Wee Ditches by 3/4 of a length! Clocking 16.99 (Normal) Summerville Kate was winning her first race for the ‘Club’ and moved their total number of winners onto the 160 mark!

How Our Other Runners Fared

FANORE FLYER had been off the track (off-colour) since finishing 3rd beaten four lengths by Candolim Folly in early September. The April 15 son of Vans Escalade was made the 14/1 outsider for the D1 Sprint at 7-31 but he made a reasonable comeback. Finishing in 3rd place after being baulked at the 1st bend he clocked 16.95 (Normal) when beaten five and a half lengths by the Seamus Cahill trained winner Droopys Perfect.

Ex-Romford racer TOKYO JOE made his Hove debut in the D2 Sprint at 8-34 where the October 15 son of Rio Quattro was made a 4/1 chance. Slow away and baulked on the run-in he clocked 17.17 (Normal) when finishing in 6th place beaten six lengths by the Tony Taylor trained winner Millbank Chase but Tokyo Joe will improve for the experience.

BALLYSTEEN STAR was beaten eight and a half lengths by Forelacka Send on her latest run but the July 14 daughter of Droopys Scolari was back in action for the A11 at
9-24. A 9/4 chance she challenged from the 3rd bend failing by just 3/4 of a length to peg back Itmustbecharlie who is trained by Jason Heath. Clocking 31.43 (Normal) ‘Star’ finished in 2nd place! Kennel mate TIMBERLEE LASS was 6th beaten just over seven lengths by Gingers Assassin last time and the April 14 daughter of Blackstone Gene was sent off an 8/1 chance. Baulked at the 1st bend she clocked 31.65 (Normal) when finishing in 4th place beaten three and a half lengths by the winner.

DATA OLLY finished 3rd when beaten just over four lengths by  Newros Holly on his last outing and the June 13 son of Head Bound was made a 4/1 shot for the A10 at 9-41. Baulked at the 1st bend he finished in 4th place clocking 31.34 (Normal) when beaten five lengths by the Tony Taylor trained winner Stellars Miller.

A winner in A5 grade at Shelbourne Park in July STAR OF PARADISE was made a 9/2 chance on his Hove debut in the A5 at 9-57. Sadly the November 13 son of Paradise Madison was badly baulked at the 1st bend and clocking 31.22 (Normal) he finished in 6th place when beaten twelve lengths by Parkwest Sally who is trained by Claude Gardiner.
