WINNER
TIMBERLEE LASS – is back to winning ways!
TIMBERLEE LASS was last successful in A11 grade on the 28th June where she beat
Im No Angel by a length! The April 14 daughter of Blackstone Gene then missed twelve weeks through seasonal rest and has been luckless in ten runs since returning to action in October. Finishing in 5th place she was beaten just under five lengths by Merc Challenger on her latest outing and was made a 5/1 chance for the A11 at 9-41. Showing good early pace she led at the 2nd bend and despite suffering crowding at the 4th she kept on well to beat the Paul Garland trained Quintus by 3/4 of a length! Owned by Diane Benson and Norah McEllistrim ‘Timberlee Lass’ clocked 31.24 (-10) 31.14 calculated when winning her 12th race at Hove!

How Our Other Runners Fared
RACENIGHT DUKE was sent off the 9/4 joint-favourite for the A9 at 7-31 but sadly the August 13 son of Head Bound checked at the 1/4 mark and finished the race lame in 6th place behind the Wendy Short trained winner Ballyhi Dean. Racenight Duke will be fully checked over at the kennels today!
SUMMERVILLE KATE was a 4/1 shot for the D2 Sprint at 7-31 but the July 15 daughter of Forest Master owned by the Norah Mac Racing Club was held up in her run! Racing wide from the 2nd bend ‘Summer’ was badly baulked on the run-in! Clocking 16.93 (+5) 16.98 calculated she finished in 4th place beaten just over three lengths by Chasin Pavements who is trained by Derek Knight.
NO JOY FOR ‘OXTED FLYER’ IN HOVE FINAL!
OXTED FLYER ran on well to finish in 2nd place when beaten just under three lengths by Emerald Sky in the Heats but the June 15 son of Droopys Cain was made the 8/1 outsider for the A5 OWNERS BONUS SERIES FINAL at 8-51. Unfortunately things did not go his way and after suffering crowding on the run-up he was baulked at the 1st and 3rd bends! Clocking 30.96 (-10) 30.86 calculated he finished in 6th place beaten just under eight lengths by the Wendy Short trained winner On The Sozzle.
BABY BLESS HIM won on his Hove debut when beating Drumcove Oscar by a length and the October 15 son of Shaneboy Spencer made it two from two when keeping on well to beat Punk Rock Magoo by 3/4 of a length last time! On a hat-trick for the A7 at 10-30 he was sent off the 2/1 favourite! Showing good early pace he led to near the line but despite clocking a decent 30.43 (-10) 30.33 calculated he finished in 2nd place beaten just a ‘short-head’ by Ballymac Kincora who is trained by Jason Heath.
