With our additional club kennel strength, the real hope is that we will continue to have a couple of runners every week as per our original mission statement.

So with that in mind it’s great to report that Horse Outside (Gino) is scheduled to return to action at Wimbledon on Friday in the A6 at 7.45pm.

Our black and white pup has a dire draw from three but it’s really not a great contest.  His return trial time was competent but he’ll need to show further improvement to avoid potential traffic problems at the first bend.

On Saturday Hanover Lady (Wendy) seeks to double up in an A4 at 9.30. It’s a tough heat with some fast improving youngsters in the mix.

Lima Oscar (Oscar) is down as a reserve so may get an outing too.

Other Open Race News

A decent past few days for the kennels – and a much needed fillip – with Rally Town and Zodiac Zeus getting through to the semis of the Kent Derby at Sittingbourne. The former has a decent draw from stripes on Sunday and could nick a place in the final.  Whilst Zodiac Zeus has claims on his best times too. Fingers crossed.

Veteran bitch Pigalle Star licked the ‘Lollie’ on Sky TV’s Wimbeldon Puppy Final card on Tuesday.  Making the most of the 3-1 on favourite’s stumble at the start, the four-year-old held off all comers to score a startlingly unexpected but most welcome big race victory.

Cloheena ‘Johnny’ Cash returns to the track in an A1 on Friday. Fingers crossed his recovery is complete.

On the social front please let Norah or club member, Debbie (Bubbles) Forest, know your plans, and numbers, for the 24/25th September jamboree.
