Our Mission

Out for a walk on a Sunday ‘Social’

The Norahmac Racing Club was formed in February, 2011 by Norah McEllistrim and a number of long-standing owners within the kennel. Our mission is to have regular runners and winners.

We offer an affordable interest in greyhound racing  and breeding with thrills, fun and social events on and off course.

Individual members pay an annual fee towards the safe racing, welfare and eventual retirement  of the greyhounds to Hersham Hounds or Brighton Greyhound Retirement Trust – BGOA.

Membership

Members pay £250 for the Norahmac year (March 1st to February 28th). For those joining  during the membership year, payments are negotiable subject to Norah’s discretion, but generally work out on a pro-rata basis around £20 per month.

The membership fee is towards the administration and  training costs, a sum toward greyhound retirement and toward the purchase of the current club kennel strength. Cheques payable to: Norahmac Racing Club.

Owners receive a certificate as a receipt of payment and validating membership.

The club reserve the right to close membership to newcomers at certain times. Shares are, therefore, sold on a first come, first served basis. Once bought, shares are not transferable, applicable only to the principal(s)  and cannot be sold on.

Any significant changes in annual membership fees will be announced before any new membership year begins. It is not expected that the fee will increase, at least before 2017.
