SIZZLERS EAGLE set up a great night for the Norah Mac Kennel when winning the £500 CORAL CHRISTMAS MAIDEN SPRINT – FINAL at Hove last night. The April 2013 son of Timor Blue was side-lined throughout November but has returned in good heart for his delighted owners Dave and Joy Cook. Sizzlers Eagle was sent off the 9/4 joint favourite and after a bit of first bend crowding he ran on well to beat the Frank Gray trained runner-up Hot Cloverhill by 1/2 a length clocking 16.74 (-15) 16.59 calculated for the 285 metre trip. This was a 3rd Hove win for the promising youngster! The kennel was represented with two more runners in the Final – Ballymac Chindit was slow away and crowded at the first bend. He finished in 4th place clocking 16.94 (-15) 16.79 calculated just over two lengths behind the winner. While Fairhill Frankie held every chance finishing in 5th place beaten three lengths by the winner clocking 17.00 (-15) 16.85 calculated.

LOCHYS BLUE BOY is a decent sprinter around Hove and he is in pretty good form winning 5 of his last 10 races! The December 2011 son of Local Honcho had to dig deep to hold on in the closest of finishes to the CORAL HOVE SPRINT! His owners the Sevenmenandadog syndicate had an anxious wait for the result to be announced – but thankfully he got the nod! Lochys Blue Boy clocked 16.84 (-15) 16.69 calculated when beating the Derek Knight trained Whileyouwait a short-head! Lochys Blue Boy was winning for the 9th time at Hove!
How Our Other Runners Fared
Millroad Jessy was very slow away in the D1 Sprint at 7-31 and was always behind. She finished in 6th place clocking 17.07 (-15) 16.92 calculated just over six lengths behind the Paul Garland trained winner Your Decision.
Sizzlerscheyenne made a very promising Hove debut in the A3 at 10-11. Quick away he led to the run-in but was beaten 3/4 of a length by the Doreen Walsh trained winner Old Grand Dog who had stayed on well. Sizzlerscheyenne clocked 30.91 (-30) 30.61 calculated in 2nd place.
Baby Sky ran an absolute cracker in the A4 at 10-26 which produced the finish of the night – the first five dogs seperated by just 3/4 of a length! By rights Baby Sky had no chance of being involved coming from an impossible position but she never gives up and somehow finished 3rd! In last place all the way and well off the pace she was still only 5th coming off the last turn but was only a neck behind the Seamus Cahill trained winner Islas Sally at the line! Baby Sky clocked 31.02 (-30) 30.72 calculated in an amazing race!

How Our Other Runners Fared
Razldazl Clyde had gone well in a ‘sprint’ hurdle trial at Wimbledon on Wednesday and on the strength of that effort was sent off the 2/1 favourite for the D1 Sprint at 10-38. Unfortunately he was crowded and forced to check at 1/2 way and finished 3rd beaten two and a half lengths by the Paul Garland trained winner Invicta Snapper.
Intayacynthia was returning from a two month lay-off and will come on for her run in the A7 at 11-23. Crowded at the first bend she was never able to get involved and was beaten just over nine lengths by the Claude Gardiner trained winner Claudes Rachel. Intayacynthia clocked 31.55 (-30) 31.25 calculated in 6th place.
Shyan Zippy ran on well after a slow start in the A8 at 11-51 and was beaten just 1/2 a length by the Jason Heath trained winner Nods Raggy Doll. ‘Zippy’ clocked 30.87 (-30) 30.57 calculated in 2nd place! Kennel mate Boskill Breeze suffered crowding at the first bend and clocked 31.19 (-30) 30.89 calculated in 5th place four and a half lengths behind the winner.
Release The Ace is running well and put in another good effort in the A6 at 12-08. He was slow away and crowded at the second turn but finished less than two lengths behind the Dean Childs trained winner Droopys Frampton. Release The Ace clocked 30.73 (-30) 30.43 calculated in 3rd place!
