Following the excitement with the success of Longrange Denis in the Coronation Cup Heats at Romford on Friday night the kennel was brought back down to earth with a ‘blank’ at Hove on Saturday Night!

Saturday 3rd January 2015  –  HOVE Report

Ballymac Tonya was stepping up in trip for her third run at Hove but made her task more difficult with a slow break in the A8 at 7-46. She was also baulked at the first bend but managed to finish in 3rd place behind the Paul Garland trained winner Beachfield Blitz. ‘Tonya’ clocked 31.24 (-20) 31.04 calculated just under three lengths behind the winner. Kennel mate Boskill Breeze suffered crowding at the third bend and clocked 31.57 (-20) 31.37 calculated, in 6th place, six lengths behind the winner.

Judicial Babe had gone ten races without a win and sadly that run continued in the A6 at 8-02. Sent off a 7/1 chance she was crowded at the first bend and unable to recover her position was beaten just over six lengths by the Wendy Short trained winner Tyrur Miley. Judicial Babe clocked 31.17 (-20) 30.97 calculated finishing in 6th place.

The Racing Clubs Leathems Desire was up against some decent runners in the D1 sprint at 8-34 and needed a trouble free run to make a real challenge. But his hopes were dashed at the first bend where he was baulked and his chance was gone! ‘Winston’ finished 6th clocking 16.87 (-10) 16.77 calculated five lengths behind the Ken Tester trained winner Farley Moon.

Droopys Michigan was well beaten in the A2 at 9-24 finishing around eight lengths behind the race winner Teejaysblackhawk who is trained by Dean Childs. Droopys Michigan clocked 30.94 (-20) 30.74 calculated in 6th place.

Kizi held every chance when finishing 3rd in the other D1 sprint on the card at 9-41. He clocked 16.75 (-10) 16.65 calculated when beaten five lengths by the Seamus Cahill trained winner Who Needs Pace.

Farloe Scolari lines up in a wide open D2 Sprint at 11-11. Sizzlers Swallow has been off the track for a month but has won at this level.

Ballymac Benefit is up in grade for her latest win when getting home by a short-head! She will need to be handy to follow up in the A6 at 11-57.

Not at his best on his last to outings Cause Of Justice runs in the A3 at 12-27 but he’s not one to write off!

Speak Out Lilly is in brilliant form winning 4 of her last 5 races! She is up in grade for the A5 at 12-41 but is improving fast!
