A very successful week for the kennel last week; multiple graded success,  Zodiac Zeus finishing second in the big Open at Oxford and a landmark result for the club too with Gino’s sub 29.00sec run.

On to the coming weekend:

Gino (Horse Outside) is upped the one grade for his win last week.  So it’s A2 competition for our black and white dog in the 9.45pm on Friday. Given his lack of early ping, Gino will, no doubt, need some luck in running but it’s not the best A2 ever run at Plough Lane and his time last weekend rates top in this field.

Back to back thrills on Saturday with Oscar (Lima Oscar) lining up in the A3 at 9.30 and Wendy (Hanover Lady) in the A2 at 9.45.

The first named may benefit from a clear run from his stripes draw around the outside with a slow starter (though very decent stayer) in trap five. For those that want a fun bet (and thats all it should be!!!) Oscar’s full sister Cashen Bomber runs in trap three. Oscar is very consistent but would need quite a lot of luck to win this on all his form shown to date.

Wendy has a lovely inside berth in her A2 and may well set the pace, at least on the inside. With nothing of the calibre of her last week’s conquerors in this heat she’d have a decent each way chance so long as she demonstrates her usual early zip.
