Thursday Hove Report / Friday Runners!
THURSDAY 5th February 2015 – HOVE Report
Droopys Rives a July 2013 son of Westmead Hawk had gone well in his trials and was pitched straight in at D1 grade. Although he finished 5th beaten eight lengths his performance was better than his finishing position. He clung to the rails from his trap 1 draw but try as he might he could not squeeze past Brother Charles in trap 2 and was baulked at the first and second bends as the pair came together. ‘River’ showed a good attitude clocking 17.09 (-10) 16.99 calculated and will come on for this run! The race was won by the Paul Garland trained Solid Fairy.

LEATHEMS DESIRE Norah McEllistrim Withdrawn – Off Colour
It was a shame that Leathems Desire (Off-Colour) had to pull out of the CORAL HOME OF THE PRICE BOMB STANDARD Open Race as it would of been a good marker to see how our improving pup would have compared against the high class Jet Stream Smurf who won the race. The Kevin Hutton trained winner clocked a stunning 29.91 (-20) 29.71 calculated when beating the Paul Young trained Jaytee India. With the withdrawel of ‘Winston’ it was left to Sizzlerscheyenne to take on the hot-shot! ‘Sizzlers’ ran well for Dave and Joy Cook finishing in 3rd place. Baulked at the first bend Sizzlerscheyenne clocked a decent 30.35 (-20) 30.15 calculated just over five lengths off the winner.

Princess Pati tried everything she could in the A4 at 9-56 to follow up her previous win! Showing good pace to the turn she was in a nice position going down the back straight. Just starting to close on the leaders she was crowded and forced to check at the 3/4 mark when going well. Recovering she ran on bravely to figure in a three-way finish but was beaten a head, and short-head, in 3rd place! ‘Pati’ clocked 30.58 (-10) 30.48 calculated behind the Dean Childs trained winner Greenhill Star.

OUR EIGHT RUNNERS AT HOVE ON FRIDAY!
Friday 6th February 2015 – HOVE Runners
Droopys Tomford – Newcomer to Racing Club!
Abbeys Zenyatta was placed ahead of the Norah Mac Racing Club’s latest addition Droopys Tomford, who was making his debut, when they finished 3rd and 4th last Saturday night! There should not be much between them when they meet again in the D2 Sprint at 2-08.
Connections of Release The Ace will be happy as he gets a drop in grade for the A6 at 3-48.
Beaten favourite when caught on the run-in last Sunday Anmima Madam should again be prominent in the A9 at 4-08.
On Your Lonesome will be lining up for his 100th race when going to traps for the D2 Sprint at 4-27. He has 15 career wins on his card – all at Hove!
Judicial Babe – 18 wins at Hove!
Judicial Babe has been well beaten on her last two runs and will have to show a return to her best form to figure in the A7 at 4-47.
Miss McCann – Needs a clear run!
Miss McCann has been crowded in her last two races. She needs to trap and avoid trouble to have a chance in the A5 at 5-38.
Slow starts and crowding are keeping Ballymac Tonya out of the frame. She will need things to go right for her in the A9 at 6-11.
