norahmactastic weekend trophy double!!!
Woody (Fleetwood Rocker) Wins!
.
Even in his moment of triumph on Friday night the bad luck that has held up Woody’s progress was still evident. He slipped off the winners podium!
.
The sponsors wanted extra pics taken and Woody was getting bored – hence a sudden adjustment of his rear end and he was off!
.
Gemma was soon to his rescue and he was back in his rightful place with no harm done.
.
Woody had to work hard for this win. Tracking the leaders in third place around the first two bends, our stylish blue set off after Listowel Dan who had opened up a four to five length lead. Woody closed and challenged at the fourth bend and, despite being crowded, got up on the line to win by a neck! His time a respectable 29.38sec.
He returned the 6/4 favourite but 2/1 was available at the track!
All four club dogs are now winners under the Norahmac Club ownership. Only four members were on hand to witness and receive Woody’s well earned trophy and get the bookies’ value, so don’t be shy – come along for a great night out and share in the fun and thrills with your fellow owners at the first bend.
Regards,
Gary.

Gino leaves his rivals standing
.
Not to be outshone, and in front of his enthusiastic fan-club on Saturday, Gino (Horse Outside) gave a superlative performance in hammering his A2 rivals by over six lengths. He cut to the rails at the first bend which cost him several spots but gave him a marvellous position to mount his challenge entering the back straight.
.
Our son of True Honcho, given a clear view of the bunny, powered on leaving his rivals toiling and won going away, clocking 29.27 in the process. That’s a very fair time given that he slowed into the first bend to get that rails pitch.
.
And for the second time this weekend Norahmac club members found themselves at the winner’s podium, receiving a trophy in front of the Wimbledon crowd.
.
A1 now for our star performer and Norah will be looking out for a maiden Open race as she sees fit.
