‘GRISEDALE GIRL’ OPENS HER HOVE ACCOUNT!
AS ‘FAIRHILL FRANKIE’ “DOUBLES” UP FOR NORAH!

Winners
GRISEDALE GIRL had finished 2nd on both her previous starts and was not winning out of turn when opening her Hove account at the third attempt! The April 2013 daughter of Timor Blue took full advantage of the drop in grade to win the D2 Sprint at 7-31. A full sister to the very useful sprinter Sizzlers Eagle she broke well and led all the way to beat the Seamus Cahill trained Guinness Solo by a length and a quarter! Owned by Bob Boswell Grisedale Girl was sent off the 6/4 favourite and clocked 16.68 (-15) 16.53 calculated (her fastest) when winning for the first time at Hove! The Racing Clubs Droopys Tomford was a 3/1 chance but he missed his break and suffered crowding at half-way and was always behind. ‘Rolo’ clocked 17.36 (-15) 17.21 calculated finishing in 6th place and was beaten just over eight lengths by the winner!
FAIRHILL FRANKIE is a decent sprinter on his day but had not won since winning a Hove ‘Open’ race last December! He bounced back to form to win the D2 Sprint at 9-57 beating his kennel mate Princess Jetta by almost two lengths! The April 2012 son of Droopys Scolari owned by Norah McEllistrim took up the running at the second bend and clocked 16.87 (-10) 16.77 calculated when winning for the 5th time at Hove. ‘Frankie’ also has 2 wins at Drumbo Park on his Irish card! Princess Jetta was sent off a 10/1 chance on her return from seasonal rest but she ran well to finish in 2nd place! Quick away she led to the second bend and kept on well clocking 17.01 (-10) 16.91 calculated to give the kennel a 1-2 in the race!
How Our Other Runners Fared
Droopys Tequila a September 13 pup had gone well in her trials and was pitched straight into A3 grade for her Hove debut! It was a tough ask for the youngster and from a slow start and being baulked at the first bend she was always behind finishing in 5th place five and a half lengths behind the Wendy Short trained winner Droopys Johnny. There will be better days ahead for Droopys Tequila who clocked 30.87 (-30) 30.57 calculated.
Sizzlers Eagle was sent off the 5/4 favourite for the D1 Sprint at 9-07 and despite running very well he could only finish 2nd behind the unbeaten Swift Watson who is trained by Jason Heath. Sizzlers Eagle was quick away and led to the second bend clocking a decent 16.44 (-10) 16.34 calculated finishing just over a length behind the impressive winner!
Data Olly was given a rough ride on his Hove debut! Slow away, baulked at the 1/4 mark and the third bend, he was beaten just under five lengths by the Wayne Wrighting trained winner Kangen Spirit. A 10/1 chance Data Olly clocked 31.24 (-20) 31.04 calculated finishing in 4th place but the June 13 pup will have gained valuable experience from the outing and like Droopys Tequila there will be better times ahead!

Just the luck of the draw! Both our runners for Poole’s ‘Golden Crest’ competition which starts on Tuesday were drawn in the same Heat! GLENPADDEN BOLT and SIZZLERSCHEYENNE face each other in Heat 2. Fingers-crossed they can both go through!
