GLENPADDEN BOLT eased into the semi-finals of the Golden Crest competition at Poole last night when beating the local hope Cabra Scooby, who is trained by Alma Keppie, by two and three quarter lengths! The May 2011 son of Droopys Scolari out of the dam Glenpadden Bay has been in superb form this year winning 5 of his last 7 races! The top-class performer had won 7 Open races on the Northern circuit for Sheffield trainer Barrie Draper before being purchased by owners Debbie Williams and Mick McCrory. This was his 7th Open race win since joining Norah as the talented runner has won 5 races at Sittingbourne (including breaking the 450 metre track-record) one race at Wimbledon and now this victory at Poole! It was an impressive win considering Glenpadden Bolt had made a slow start but he ran on well to lead at the fourth bend clocking 26.74 on the Normal going. The Hayley Keightley trained 4/9 favourite Roxholme Ted found trouble in running but managed to qualify by finishing in 3rd place! Sizzlerscheyenne was sent off at a whopping 100/1 but led them to the 3/4 mark! He was badly baulked at the fourth bend but was not disgraced finishing in 5th place clocking 27.27 sec. just over six lengths behind the winner.

TODAYS RUNNERS!

ELEVEN RUNNERS ON THE WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON HOVE CARD!

Wednesday 25th March 2015  –  HOVE Runners

Our two runners in the D2 Sprint at 2-08 are both in good form and Ballymac Dainty and Sizzlers Swallow should each have every chance in this grade.

Our two runners in the A9 at 2-27 both need a change of luck! Lobelia has gone 17 races since her last success and Sizzlers Big Boy was well beaten on his last two runs but does get a drop in grade!

The Norah Mac Racing Clubs Classy Molly failed to land the odds by just a ‘neck’ when sent off the 7/4 favourite in this grade last Thursday. She would have a good chance in the A10 at 2-47 if getting a clear run!

Listry Ace runs in the A8 at 3-07. She got off the mark at Hove at the third attempt when winning last Friday and goes up in grade for that effort.

We have two chances of success in the D2 Sprint at 3-48. Watch Matt has been in good form lately but slow starts have not helped him on his last two runs! Where as kennel mate Fanore Breeze has put in two good runs since returning from seasonal rest.

Mineola Prof has a good strike-rate and performs at a high level. He missed his break last time but should run well in the A3 at 5-22.

Baby Sky ran well on her return from seasonal rest and should be winning soon! As usual she will be doing her best work at the finish of the A6 at 5-38.

Droopys Tequila runs in the A4 at 5-56. A slow start and first bend crowding didn’t help on her debut but the September 13 pup will have gained valuable experience from that run and will also appreciate the drop in grade!
