Glenpadden Bolt did not get the run of the race in the Final of Poole’s £4,000 Golden Crest decider last night! He was crowded on the run-up and at the first bend but the May 2011 son of Droopys Scolari ran on well and was beaten less than two lengths at the line! The race was won by the local runner Aimnfire who is trained by June Harvey with the Hayley Keightley trained favourite Roxholme Ted finishing in 2nd place. Sent off a 7/1 chance Glenpadden Bolt owned by Debbie Williams and Mick McCrory  made a brave effort for glory and clocked 26.77 (Normal) finishing in 3rd place.

IT’S A SECOND HOVE WIN FOR LISTRY ACE!

Saturday 11th April 2015  –  HOVE Report

Winner

LISTRY ACE showed good early pace in the A8 at 8-34 and led all the way to win for the second time at Hove! The October 2012 daughter of Kinloch Brae made it two wins from her last four outings when beating the Dean Childs trained Southweststriker. Owned by Norah McEllistrim Listry Ace clocked 31.04 (-30) 30.74 calculated when winning by a length and three quarters!

How Our Other Runners Fared

The run of Satellite Fever in the A3 at 8-51 will have delighted owners Bob, Sue and Sam Hadley as the February 2012 son of College Causeway returned to something like his best when finishing 2nd to Knight Magic who is trained by Jason Heath. Nursed back to fitness by the dedicated Norah Mac team Satellite Fever was off the track for ‘five’ months with a serious injury and his return to racing has been followed closely at the Satellite Kennels in Listowel, County Kerry  by Jimmy Jones who bred him! Sent off the 14/1 outsider Satellite Fever was quick away and despite crowding at the first bend he ran on well clocking 30.60 (-30) 30.30 calculated when beaten just over two lengths.

Glaise Socks ran well on his Hove debut when finishing 3rd to the Claude Gardiner trained winner Awbeg Lady in the A4 at 9-07. Although slow away and crowded at the first bend and at half-way the 5/1 shot was nearest at the finish! He clocked 30.85 (-30) 30.55 when beaten four and a half lengths by the winner but will improve greatly for this run!
