Following a tremendously successful ‘end of an era’ party at Wimbledon last weekend, Norah has not let the dust even begin to settle and has sponsored three races at Hove this coming Saturday, April 14th.

Two of these contests, in aid of the Hove Retired Greyhounds, are sponsored under the Norahmac Racing Club banner and all members, friends, supporters and associates are welcome to join in the evening’s podium presentations.

Norah will be doing her best to organise some reserved space trackside with refreshments on the night. Hopefully there will be kennel runners and a couple from the club too. More details by midweek.

Please note that car registrations have to be logged into the (very simple to use) parking machines in the lobby at the track otherwise you risk a fine. Entrance should be free with an Owners pass from Wimbledon subject to confirmation and so long as we do have runners.

It was a splendid night last Saturday and it was great that Norah’s staff, friends, owners and supporters turned out and gave her a glorious send off – and we had some kennel winners to celebrate too!

It turned out to be incredibly impromptu given the twenty four hours notice that it was to be ‘self catering.’  We’re, nevertheless, very grateful to the Wimbledon management for giving us use of two executive boxes (which at one point in the evening were full to standing room only) and their kind words and presentations to Norah throughout the evening.

The viewing was spectacular and a great advert for greyhound racing at Wimbledon. We’re looking forward to coming back for Opens as often as possible!

Pictures of the event will be added to the Media Gallery in the next week or so.
