AVIT ON BERYL was a good 3rd to Gratis on the 14th October but the May 12 daughter of Farley Turbo was baulked at half-way when finishing 5th beaten three lengths by Clairkeith Casey last Wednesday! She was a 7/2 chance for the A9 at 2-47 today but again found ‘trouble’ in running! ‘Beryl’ was baulked at the third bend and clocked 31.36 when finishing in 6th place beaten almost five lengths by the Maria Collins trained winner Hollyhill Gene.

BARNISH PETER returned from injury for an A7 on the 21st October and although beaten just over six lengths the February 12 son of Top Honcho finished 2nd to Katusha Kid. He was sent off 5/2 joint favourite for the A7 at 3-28 but was baulked at the first bend and crowded at the third! He clocked 31.36 when finishing in 4th place beaten just under five lengths by the Ken Tester trained winner Oakfront Sherry. Kennel mate MIST OF TIME who was beaten just over three lengths by Swift Messi in a D2 Sprint on the 18th October was a 7/1 chance and racing wide held every chance finishing in 5th place. The May 13 daughter of Droopys Scolari clocked 31.50 when beaten six and a half lengths by the winner.

Veteran SWIFT MESSI is still enjoying his racing and the September 09 son of Hondo Black was lining up for his 197th race! ‘Lionel’ has enjoyed recent wins over Farloe Comet and Leonas Rumble and was on a hat-trick for the D2 Sprint at 3-48 but after suffering crowding on the run-in he could only manage 3rd place! Swift Messi clocked 16.85 when beaten three and a half lengths by Maketherounds who is trained by Derek Knight.

DROOPYS TEQUILA was a good winner in A7 grade on the 9th October clocking 30.58 when beating January Bride by a short-head! The September 2013 daughter of Droopys Scolari was a beaten favourite when up in A6 grade on her next outing finishing almost six lengths behind Express Cupid. She was well placed to half-way in the A6 at 4-47 but faded to finish in 6th place clocking 31.05 when beaten just over seven lengths by the Ken Tester trained winner Angry Cookie.

ALL ABOUT EILE made a winning start to his career with success in a D2 Sprint on his Hove debut on the 19th September beating Rowfolds Topstar by a neck! The November 13 son of Kinloch Brae secured another D2 Sprint win when beating Ballinlough Boss by almost two lengths on the 11th October! He was well beaten by Guinness Sun when up in D1 grade last Saturday but ran much better in the D1 Sprint at 5-07 today! Despite being baulked at the first bend All About Eile clocked 16.84 when finishing in 2nd place beaten just over a length by Sister Tootsie who is trained by Seamus Cahill.

RELEASE THE ACE has been finding ‘trouble’ in running recently and it was a similar story last time when he was baulked at the second bend and finished in 5th place behind Miny Mo. Release The Ace was made the 8/1 outsider for the A8 at 5-22 and the April 12 son of Ace Hi Rumble was in the ‘wars’ again. Crowded at the first bend he clocked 31.21 when finishing in 6th place three lengths behind the Jason Heath trained winner Nods Mary Sharp.

BALLYMAC CHINDIT has been running well and was a good winner of an A6 on the 23rd September beating Confey Hawk a neck! He followed up in A5 grade when beating Albion Calde just over a length on the 27th September. The December 12 son of Ace Hi Rumble ran a decent race in A4 grade last Thursday when finishing 3rd to Ballymac Magic. He was a 9/2 chance for the A4 at 6-11 but finished a well beaten 6th after coming off worse in a ‘rough’ race! Ballymac Chindit was baulked at the first and third bends and clocked 31.71 when beaten over thirteen lengths by the Claude Gardiner trained winner Awbeg Lady.
