And through to 22nd July…

The plaudits for last week head toward Lenny (Droopys Leonard) via his gallant victory in Wednesday’s A2 event. Our high class black lad took the lead down the back straight and held off all challengers to win in fine style.

The game goes on with club runners involved on the Wednesday afternoon Nevill Road card. And there’s some respite from the grader for both Oscar (Lima Oscar) in the 3.28pm and Wendy (Hanover Lady) in the 5.22pm.
Our black son of Ballintore Brave gets a sole wide seeding and a less rigorous task than of late in an A6, whilst our blue girl also has a slightly easier heat, berthed on the rails, in the D1 later in the afternoon.
An each way double wouldn’t be the worst investment in the world on our dynamic duo.
Come Saturday Wendy (Hanover Lady) gets a crack at a Sprint Open at our old stomping ground, Plough Lane, Wimbledon. Berthed in three, not too familiar with the track over the distance and with a couple of useful types in opposition, let’s hope Wendy can do herself justice – she’s plenty capable.
There’s a club double-header on Hove’s Sunday BAGS lunchtime card. Lenny (Droopys Leonard) trots out for another A2 at 1.12pm. It’s yet another tightly graded affair. Lenny, in stripes, benefits from a slow starter on his immediate inside. He’ll need to put his best paw forward to hold off a couple of staying on types in the line-up. Fingers crossed.
Horse Outside has a sound chance in the closing event, an A4 at 2.12pm. Our September ’09 son of True Honcho has caught a couple of tartars in recent runs but has been in top form of late with a career best Hove clocking last time out. Boxed in red with three wide seeds, he has very solid credentials in this heat.
