‘Data Olly’ Gets It Right Today!

DATA OLLY often finds ‘trouble’ in running but always finishes his races fast! The June 13 son of Head Bound was a 3/1 chance for an A4 on the 31st August but was baulked at the third bend and he clocked 30.68 calculated when finishing 4th beaten two lengths by Dunquin Lodge. He clocked 16.85 calculated behind kennel mate Oo Wants It in a Sprint Trial at Central Park last Sunday and it obviously put him spot on for the A4 at 3-28. A 7/1 chance he was crowded at the third bend but he ran on well to beat the Derek Knight trained Liosgarbh Andy by two lengths! Owned by Norah McEllistrim Data Olly clocked 30.29 (+10) 30.39 calculated when winning his 11th race at Hove!

‘Sizzlers Apollo’ Is On The Way Up!

SIZZLERS APOLLO beat Glencorbry Cara by a short-head in A8 grade on the 14th August! He followed up in fine style in A7 grade on the 19th August when beating Maireads Mist by six lengths! Clocking a very impressive 30.28 calculated he was put up ‘two’ grades for an A5 on the 25th August. The September 13 son of Droopys Scolari clocked 30.73 calculated when finishing 2nd beaten a length by Liosgarbh Andy. A 12/1 chance for Heat 2 of the HOVE THURSDAY NIGHT 500 – DUAL DISTANCE Open Competition on the 1st September he clocked 16.80 calculated when finishing 6th beaten just over seven lengths by Swift Watson. Back in graded action for the A5 at 5-38 he was sent off the 2/1 favourite and he returned to winning ways when leading all the way to beat the Jason Heath trained Nods Mary Sharp by just over a length! Owned by Dave & Joy Cook Sizzlers Apollo clocked 30.42 (+10) 30.52 calculated when winning his 8th race at Hove!

How Our Other Runners Fared

TIMBERLEE LASS got up near the line to beat Nods Lucy by a neck in A11 grade on the 31st August! The April 14 daughter of Blackstone Gene clocked 31.09 calculated when winning her 4th race at Hove and was put up in grade for an A10 last Saturday. Sent off a 10/1 chance she held every chance and despite finishing in 5th place she clocked 30.98 calculated when beaten two and a half lengths by Amelies Nod. Timberlee Lass was the 10/1 outsider for the A10 at 4-08 and she dead-heated for 5th place after suffering crowding on the run-in! Clocking 31.17 (+10) 31.27 calculated she was beaten just under four lengths by the Seamus Cahill trained winner Get On Carly.

BARNISH PETER clocked 31.06 calculated when beaten just under three lengths by Brickhill Jacksy in A5 grade on the 27th August. The February 12 son of Top Honcho was a 6/1 chance for an A5 last Friday where he was badly bumped at the first bend and clocked 31.09 calculated when finishing in 4th place beaten ten lengths by Garryglass Zara. Barnish Peter was given a drop in grade for the A6 at 4-47 but our 8/1 shot was very badly bumped at the first bend. Clocking 32.15 (+10) 32.25 calculated he finished in 5th place beaten over sixteen lengths by Dinner Ashmole who is trained by Seamus Cahill.

GELERT THE GREAT clocked 30.56 calculated when beating Seanachie Girl by almost eight lengths in a 3-dog Trial over 515 metres on the 27th August and he lined up for an A7 on the 31st August. A 7/2 chance the May 14 son of Westmead Hawk was slow away and baulked at the first bend but running on well he got up to beat Wonkers Lad by a short-head! Gelert The Great clocked 30.77 calculated when winning for the 3rd time at Hove and was up in grade for an A6 last Sunday. Slow away and crowded on the run-up he clocked 30.78 calculated when finishing 5th beaten three lengths by Starch Hill Sid and he was given a drop in grade for the A7 at 6-11. Sadly a slow break did not help his chance and he clocked 30.97 (+10) 31.07 calculated when finishing in 4th place beaten two lengths by the Derek Knight trained winner Kimiko.
