SIZZLERS DIAMOND made a slow start and suffered crowding at the third bend but still clocked a very decent 30.28 calculated in A2 grade on the 10th September where he finished 2nd beaten just a length by Cork Falcon. The March 14 son of Head Bound owned by Dave Cook & Dave Staddon was back in Open company for Heat 2 of the HOVE THURSDAY NIGHT 500 – MAIDEN 475 competition on the 22nd September! A 3/1 chance he found ‘trouble’ in running after making a slow start and missed out on a place in the Final when finishing in 4th spot! Clocking 28.15 (Normal) he was beaten just under six lengths by the Wayne Wrighting trained winner Woodmancote Lass. Sizzlers Diamond was 2/1 favourite for the CORAL HOVE MAIDEN last Thursday but he again found ‘trouble’ in running after making a slow start. Clocking 30.35 calculated he finished in 5th place beaten three and a half lengths by Rocket Shot who is trained by Tony Taylor. Sizzlers Diamond takes his first look at Wimbledon in the Wimbledon 480 Standard Div 3 at 7-54.

SIZZLERS APOLLO led all the way clocking 30.52 calculated when beating Nods Mary Sharp by just over a length in A5 grade on the 9th September but he faded to finish 6th clocking 31.10 (Normal) when beaten just over six lengths by Starch Hill Sid in an A5 on the 16th September. The September 13 son of Droopys Scolari owned by Dave Cook & Joy Cook clocked 13.88 calculated when beating Spiderman by just over a length in a 2-dog Trial over 225 metres at Romford on the 20th September and he got back to winning ways when making all to beat Woodmancote Bert by a length and a half in an A5 on the 25th September! Making it 4 wins from his last 7 races he clocked 30.46 calculated when winning his 9th race at Hove and was up in grade for an A4 last Sunday. A 7/2 chance he showed good pace and led from the first bend to the run-in clocking 30.28 calculated when finishing 2nd beaten just over a length by Ground Hurler and returns to Open company for the Wimbledon 480 Maiden Div 2 at 8-26.

HYNESS MILL clocked 30.68 (Normal) when finishing behind Lenson Walcott in A2 grade at Hove on the 30th July and was given a drop in grade for an A3 on the 5th August where he suffered crowding at the first bend and was badly baulked at the second! The September 14 son of Droopys Jet clocked 31.08 (Normal) when finishing in 6th place beaten just over ten lengths by Killure Panther. Sent off the 9/4 favourite for an A3 on the 10th August he held every chance until baulked when fading on the run-in. Finishing in 5th place he clocked 30.74 (Normal) when beaten just over two lengths by Alist Katrina. Owned by Olly Gilbert, Ivor Stocker, Mary Pledge & Norah McEllistrim Hyness Mill clocked 16.53 (Normal) when beaten two lengths by Aimnfire in a 2-dog Trial over 273 metres at Wimbledon last Thursday and lines up for the Wimbledon 480 Maiden Div 1 at 9-15 tonight!
