Very BIG News INDEED!!!
Saturday 11th May 3.00pm – special update:
Norah has just confirmed she’s taken delivery of current winning Open class Ferdia Oscar. The August ’10 whelp has been purchased from Ireland for the Norahmac Club and the plan is to enter for this year’s Wimbledon Derby which kicks off at the end of May.
Ferdy (tbc) has a Greyhound Data rating high of 123, with many runs exceeding 100 whilst competing amongst the very best in Ireland. The white and black son of Head Bound is still relatively lightly raced and the hope is some Norahmac tlc will bring further improvement in due course.
Norah’s plan as at time of writing is to have Ferdy (tbc) marked up this weekend, completing the paperwork ready for a first trial, a solo sprint, this Wednesday morning at Plough Lane. A second trial, this time three dog over standard distance, next weekend at either Hove or Wimbledon, and a final three dog trial Wednesday week at Wimbledon.
The entries close on that day and the drama is due to begin either Thursday or Friday at the end of May.
Whatever happens, other than injury, for Ferdy (tbc) in the £125,000 to the winner greyhound season showpiece we’ll continue to target top level competitions and decent Opens with our new recruit.
If you’ve not joined yet, or your membership has lapsed, how about having a 2013 Greyhound Derby entry, plus six others as an owner all for £300 for a full year. Current payment is £250 for the remaining ten months of the Norahmac year (through to March 1st 2014). And remember subscription is limited to just forty members – and we’re all friendly!
The Norahmac Racing Club has always been value for money thanks to Norah’s generosity, and now we’re head and shoulders above the rest!

As updated in next post – Norah has subsequently decided Ferdy wasn’t for us.
Apologies to all for dashed hopes and confusion.
