100 Twits, All Action & thru to 23/6
Review and News
Notwithstanding Cloheena Mickey’s valiant, but unsuccessful effort, to continue the kennel Derby dream, it’s been all action and all good this past week. Winners have been banging in at Nevill Road; Westmead Louisa bagging a £500 Owners Trophy Bonus on Saturday and Couture nabbing a decent Open at 20-1 on RPGTV on Thursday, being just two of the highlights.
Also a special mention to the Ballymac pups, two of whom, got on the score sheet last week – Marine making his mark by clocking a very decent 16.44 in his Sprint win. The owners, Debbie and Mick, have been particularly supportive of kennel and club these past years and deserve the fun and pleasure in having some exciting youngsters in their portfolio.
All Norahmac website followers were given the nod about the star potential of the pups as they were flagged up in Norah’s 2013 preview back in February. Additionally they are pictured at just a couple weeks old in the picture gallery on the media page. If you’ve not seen the pics then they are worth a look – so cute!
It’s fair to say that, in general, the dogs are in good spirits and running well. There’s more youngsters and newbies coming through and returning from lay-offs too, including Leah (Memories Leah) and Oscar (Lima Oscar) who have their second trials on Monday as they return to fitness.
Twitter is proving amazingly successful as our new ‘up to the minute’ communication source. Our kennel twitters have been kept busy all week tweeting the news of all the many kennel winners (with their times) pretty much as the action unfolds.
By this time next week we’re likely to have 100 or so ‘twits’ following the kennel’s progress. It’s really straight forward, vital if you have dogs with Norah and want to keep up with the very latest news on their activity – whether it be trials or races.

Preview
There’s kennel action from Wimbledon on Tuesday with Kizi and Baby Sky getting to know the Plough Lane circuit in respective Sprint and Stayer’s Opens. All live on Sky Sports and in betting shops, as part of the Derby quarter final card.
Whilst on Saturday’s semi-final card, Cloheena Mickey gets into the Derby Plate and Druids Aboutime has a poke at the Champion Hurdle. Again all live on Sky and in betting shops.
Back at Nevill Road and Horse Outside lines up in an A6 at 5.08pm on Wednesday’s card. The frame looks set to give Horse his clearest passage to date. He’s boxed in one with kennelmate, the novice Ballymac Kerry, in blue seemingly preferring more of a middle line. At around 4’s or better our black and white deserves some support.
Friday’s matinee BAGS card provides Molly (Classy Molly) with an opportunity to grab some A8 glory in the 12.27pm. A typically closely graded heat with Molly housed in trap four suggests she has plenty on her plate – fingers crossed for a decent run.
Wendy (Hanover Lady) represents the club on Saturday’s card, berthed in three in the D1 at 10.13pm. It’s a tight affair with Wendy, at least, having a major edge on experience with many of her rivals, including two speedy young kennel mates. A Norahmac combination trio 1-3-6 anyone?
Our new kid on the block Dessie (Droopys Design) has his second sighting at Nevill Road on his inaugural run for the club. Our ‘learner’ a September ’11 son of Westmead Joy and Dukes Prince runs from trap four and can be expected to step up significantly as he gains experience. A pacey sort – it’ll be whether he quite has the fitness to last home at this very early stage of his career.
