Review and News

Leah (Memories Leah) is now back on the card, she’ll run in graded contests as she returns to full fitness.

Gilbert (Ferdia Oscar), is amongst a batch of kennelmates trialing at Peterborough Monday (1st July) in preperation for a tilt at the Peterborough Derby.

Exciting news as Norah reports Lenny (Droopys Leonard) is having a short stay at Barry O’Sullivan’s, continuing his hurdles schooling.

Top form from Dessie (Droopys Design) who did, magnificently, double-up in his first week for the club. Wendy (Hanover Lady) failed by a whisker to notch that elusive first Open win. Horse Outside returned to the winning groove with a proper run in a fair time on Wednesday and… wait for it…… Oscar (Lima Oscar) deemed to put his head in front on Sunday for us. Clearly full of the joys, following his recuperation.

Friday’s matinee card features a mouth-watering, though somewhat unfortunate, clash between club stalwart Horse Outside and new kid on the block Dessie (Droopys Design). The pair meet in the A5 at 12.12pm. Horse wears the blue (trap 2)  jacket and Dessie sports the black (trap4).
.
It’s a tightly graded affair.  Horse may find it a tough ask from the box with some pacey types around him, not least of whom would be Dessie, who if maintaining his lightening trapping style, could avoid the potential skirmishing at the first bend. Fingers crossed for a safe run for them both.
.
The A8 at 12.58pm sees Oscar (Lima Oscar) seeking a double. Berthed in five, it’s anyone’s guess whether Oscar will retain the enthusiasm shown last week.  Our lad looks likely to start at a fancy price so who knows?
.
Saturday’s evening card is packed to the gills with kennel runners, including some newbies from the recent Henlow sales. Club interest is also high with Wendy (Hanover Lady) boxed in red in a five runner D1 at 8.18pm. Our blue girl looks to have a favourite’s chance with most to fear from useful kennelmate, Ballymac Marine, a rising star.
.
All eyes on Leah (Memories Leah) in the closing contest, an A3 at 10.30pm, returning after a fair spell on the sidelines. Our March ’11 whelp will clearly be better for this run but has done little wrong in her comeback trials. Fingers crossed.
