‘Hawk’ Lands 9th Hove Win For Dave & Joy!

WINNER
SIZZLERS HAWK was 5/2 favourite for a D1 Sprint on the 26th May where despite making a fast start the July 14 son of Vans Escalade had to settle for 2nd place behind his in-form kennel mate Spiderman. A 4/1 chance for the D1 Sprint at 9-57 last night he showed good early pace and disputed the lead throughout! Getting the nod on the line he beat the Derek Knight trained Westmead Julie by a short-head! Owned by Dave & Joy Cook Sizzlers Hawk clocked 16.42 (Normal) when winning for the 9th time at Hove!

How Our Other Runners Fared
SIZZLERS WENDY was a 3/1 chance for the A11 at 8-02 but the January 15 daughter of Farloe Barracuda was baulked at the 3/4 mark! Clocking 32.40 (Normal) she finished in 4th place beaten eleven lengths by the Wayne Wrighting trained winner Imfootballcrazy.
BALLYSTEEN STAR kept on well to beat Farmers Sky by a short-head last Sunday but the July 14 daughter of Droopys Scolari was a 5/1 chance for the A8 at 8-18. Slow away and baulked at the 1/4 mark ‘Star’ clocked 31.09 (Normal) when finishing 5th beaten just over four lengths by Belfarian Super who is trained by Tony Taylor.
OXTED FLYER was sent off 3/1 co-favourite for the A5 at 8-34 but the June 15 son of Droopys Cain was crowded at the first bend and forced to check when baulked at the 1/4 mark! Clocking 30.92 (Normal) he finished in 4th place beaten three lengths by the Claude Gardiner trained winner Boherash Dazzle. Kennel mate AEGEAN DELIGHT was also a 3/1 co-favourite and she too was held up in her run! Suffering 1st bend crowding and then baulked the August 14 daughter of Colorful Champ finished in 6th place clocking 31.21 (Normal) when beaten just under seven lengths by the winner.
MARCH ON MAX was a 7/2 shot for the A6 at 9-41 and although he was baulked at the 1st bend after making a slow start he ran on well to grab 2nd place! Clocking 30.85 (Normal) the October 13 son of Tullymurry Act was beaten just under two lengths by Apple Buttons who is trained by Maria Collins.
ANOTHER ME was a 9/2 chance for the A2 at 10-13 but the February 14 son of Shaneboy Lee was unable to land a blow after being baulked at the 4th bend! Finishing in 5th place ‘Monty’ clocked 30.57 (Normal) when beaten just over six lengths by Free Passage who is trained by Richard Rees.
