SATURDAY HOVE REPORT
Saturday 29th July 2017 – HOVE Report
HYNESS MILL was sent off a 7/2 chance for the D2 Sprint at 7-46 but the September 14 son of Droopys Jet made a slow start! Running on well ‘Ron’ finished in 2nd place clocking 16.78 (-5) 16.73 calculated when beaten two lengths by the Ken Tester trained winner Lenas Paddy.
BALLYSTEEN SKY fared best of our ‘three’ runners in the D3 Sprint at 8-34. An 8/1 shot the January 16 son of Taylors Sky was quick away and led to 1/2 way! Clocking 17.09 (-5) 17.04 calculated he finished in 3rd place beaten just a length by Warnham Ruby who is trained by Jason Heath. BALIBO BONNIE was making her Hove debut and the January 16 daughter of Tullymurry Act owned by the Norah Mac Racing Club was sent off the 9/4 fav! Slow away and baulked at the 1st bend ‘Bonnie’ clocked 17.46 (-5) 17.41 calculated when beaten five and a half lengths in 5th place. DERRYADD MARLEY was a 5/2 chance but the August 15 daughter of Zero Ten was baulked on the run-up! Finishing in 6th place she clocked 17.53 (-5) 17.48 calculated when beaten six and a half lengths by the winner.
SIZZLERS APOLLO was a 7/1 chance for the D1 Sprint at 9-24 where the September 13 son of Droopys Scolari held every chance clocking 16.68 (Normal) when finishing in 4th place beaten three and a half lengths by Droopys Schnozz who is trained by Jason Heath. Kennel mate FLACKWELL SPIRIT was an 8/1 shot but the June 14 son of Taylors Sky suffered crowding on the run-in and finishing in 5th place he clocked 16.85 (Normal) when beaten just under six lengths by the winner.
DROOPYS ROXY was sent off the 7/4 favourite for the A5 at 10-30 but the September 15 daughter of Tullymurry Act suffered crowding at the 3rd bend! Running on well ‘Roxy’ clocked 30.65 (Normal) when finishing in 4th place beaten just a length and a half by the Derek Knight trained winner Liosgarbh Brandy.
