A terrific run from club-owned Gilbert (Ferdia Oscar) who bustled up the much-touted newbie Sidarian Teejay, claiming runner-up spot, at a very decent 33-1, in a classy Open last Thursday.

Also great fun on Saturday night with the kennel landing three from four with the night’s runners, including a sparkling show from Lenny (Droopys Leonard).  Our revitalised lad held off all-comers from a ping break in the Sprint to land the Baby Sky Trophy – always good to keep it in the family.  And another juicy dividend, with a 7-1 SP, for his followers.

On a much sadder note, Norah regretfully reports that Dessie (Droopys Design) has a career ending injury – a torn gracilis – and will now be retired from racing.  A very short career from a pup that proved, early on for the club, that he could have really made a mark on the Nevill Road grading scene, but it was not to be.

Continuing the downbeat theme with news that club veteran and stalwart Horse Outside suffered an injury to the wrist on Friday and Norah is taking stock of his situation. Further news on any decisions will follow.
