HOVE THURSDAY 500 MAIDEN STAYERS – FINAL
DROOPYS ELMA led near the line to beat the Wayne Wrighting trained Ashwood Telly a ‘short-head’ in last weeks Heats and the February 15 daughter of Mall Brandy owned by Norah McEllistrim was sent off the 5/2 second-favourite for last nights MAIDEN STAYERS FINAL. Sadly ‘Elma’ did not get the clear run she needed and clocking 42.76 (Normal) finished in 5th place beaten six lengths by the Matt Dartnall trained winner Hedsor Misty.

ANOTHER ME suffered crowding when finishing 3rd behind the Daniel Brabon trained Good Start at Central Park last Sunday and the February 14 son of Shaneboy Lee owned by Miss C. J. Vogt and Mr P. J. Vogt was given a drop in class for the A4 at 6-44. Sent off the 7/4 favourite ‘Monty’ made a brave bid to make all! Quick away he led from the 1st bend to the run-in and clocked 30.44 (Normal) when finishing in 3rd place beaten just 1/2 a length by Lemon Derek who is trained by Jason Heath.

DROOPYS ROXY ran on well after a slow start to finish 3rd beaten three and a half lengths by Northwest Bridge in A6 grade on her latest run and the September 15 daughter of Tullymurry Act owned by Norah McEllistrim was up in class for Heat 1 of the HOVE THURSDAY 500 – LADIES Open Competition. Sent off the 33/1 outsider ‘Roxy’ found ‘trouble’ in running and finishing in 6th place she clocked 30.63 (Normal) when beaten just under eight lengths by the John Mullins trained winner Rackethall Jess.
