WINNER

‘POWER MARY’ BLASTS HOME AT HOVE!

POWER MARY got off the mark at Hove on her second attempt when beating kennel mate Timberlee Lass by a neck over 515 metres on the 10th January! Beaten just a ‘neck’ by Get On Patch on her latest run the August 15 daughter of Blackstone Gene was sent off the 5/2 favourite for the D3 Sprint at 6-02. Leading at the 2nd bend she blasted clear to beat the Tony Taylor trained Mercury Dream by three lengths! Owned by Mr A. J. Parfitt
‘Power Mary’ clocked 16.89 (-10) 16.79 calculated when winning for the 2nd time at Hove! Kennel mate SIZZLERS IVORY was crowded and forced to check at 1/2 way. Clocking 17.51 (-10) 17.41 calculated she finished in 6th place beaten just under eight lengths by the winner.

How Our Other Runners Fared

Slow away in the D1 Sprint at 2-12 ANOTHER ME suffered crowding at the 1st bend and again on the run-in! Finishing in 3rd place ‘Monty’ clocked 16.91 (-20) 16.71 calculated when beaten just under three lengths by Punk Rock Rebel. Kennel mate SPIDERMAN led from the 1st bend to the 2nd! Crowded on the run in he clocked 16.92 (-20) 16.72 calculated when finishing in 4th place beaten three lengths by the winner.

DERRYADD MARLEY was baulked at the 1st bend and crowded on the run-in when finishing 6th in the D2 Sprint at 3-29. Clocking 17.24 (-20) 17.04 calculated she was beaten four lengths by Hamsteronapiano.

In rear for most of the way STAR OF PARADISE ran on well to grab 3rd place in the A7 at 5-44. Clocking 31.02 (-20) 30.82 calculated he was beaten three lengths by Gemini Duchess.
