It is with great sadness that the Kennel announces the death of owner Dave Cook who sadly passed away last weekend.
Dave had been an owner with Norah for over 40 years placing his dogs in her care way back in 1974 which was the year Norah started her training career! It was at the kennels where Dave met his wife Joy as she worked there for Norah as a kennel hand!
All of Dave’s dogs ran with the ‘Sizzlers’ pre-fix and over the years he owned some top class greyhounds.
Sizzlers Bossman and Sizzlers Spirit were two of the best!

Sizzlers Bossman won 23 Open races and he broke ‘three’ Hurdle Track-Records in the space of 17 days in July 2005 with wins at Wimbledon, Walthamstow and Romford. He won the Ladbrokes Midlands Champion Hurdle Final at Hall Green in August 2005 where he beat the classy Druids Mickey Joe by two lengths!

Sizzlers Spirit – wins the Coral Hurdle at Hove (Dave in centre)

Sizzlers Spirit won 24 races (17 in Opens). He broke the Track-Record at Sittingbourne in July 2010 and won the Jimmy Jupp National Hurdle at Hove the same year!
More recently Sizzlers Eagle won 16 of his 34 races at Hove in 2014/15 with 10 of those wins coming in Open class!
Dave loved his greyhound racing and always had a steady stream of young ‘Sizzlers’ coming through and he will be sadly missed by everyone at the Norah Mac kennels.
