Droopys Leonard Stars For Racing Club!
DROOPYS LEONARD MAKES IT 87 WINNERS FOR NORAH MAC RACING CLUB!
Wednesday HOVE Report
Winner
Just three runs off his century of races DROOPYS LEONARD is running as well as ever! The April 2010 son of Droopys Kewell clocked a very decent 30.69 (-30) 30.39 calculated when winning the A5 at 4-47. Quick away with a 4.15 split, and racing wide “Lenny” led to the 3rd bend, he came again on the run in to collar the Dean Childs trained Roseys Options on the line by a neck! He has been a great servant to the Norah Mac Racing Club and was winning for the 17th time! Members would not have got rich on his 6/4 favourite starting price but were able to enjoy the Racing Clubs 87th winner! Kennel mate Droopys Margaret suffered a rough ride when she was crowded and stumbled at the first bend. She was baulked at the 1/4 mark and finished 6th clocking 31.18 (-30) 30.88 calculated.
How Our Other Runners Fared
The Racing Clubs Hanover Lady (9/4 fav) is slowly getting back to race fitness, after her seasonal rest, but was unable to lead today. She railed and held every chance in the D1 at 2-27 but finished 4th clocking 16.95 (-20) 16.75 calculated. Kennel mate On Your Lonesome was just ahead of “Wendy” in 3rd place. He was quick away and ran well after being crowded at the first bend clocking 16.91 (-20) 16.71 calculated.
Swift Debbie (5/2 fav) was quick away in the A6 at 3-07 but was crowded at the first and second bends to 1/2 way! She did well to finish 3rd beaten just over two lengths clocking 31.14 (-40) 30.74 calculated.
Shyan Zippy was nearest at the finish in the A9 at 3-28. She was slow away and crowded at the first bend but ran on well to finish 3rd clocking 31.15 (-30) 30.85 calculated.
Farloe Scolari was unable to lead in the A7 at 4-08 after a slow break. He was then baulked at the first bend, crowded at the 1/2 way point and third bend, before fading to finish 6th clocking 31.89 (-30) 31.59 calculated.
Droopys Brody ran well in the A4 at 5-38 when he was beaten 3/4 of a length behind the Seamus Cahill trained Next Customer. “Brody” railing well, was crowded at the first bend before running on strongly, clocking 30.73 (-30) 30.43 calculated in 2nd place. Kennel mate Graiguenoe Royal was crowded at the first bend and finished 4th in this event clocking 30.89 (-30) 30.59 calculated.
HORSE OUTSIDE is fine after cramping The Racing Clubs Horse Outside lined up for the A6 at 6-11 but things did not go well. He was crowded at the first bend and checked at the 3/4 mark and finished cramped! He clocked 32.13 (-30) 31.83 calculated in 6th place. Assistant trainer Gemma Byford reported that he seems to be fine although a bit stiff. Gemma added that he possibly could have a little bug.
Note: WE HAVE NO RUNNERS AT HOVE ON THURSDAY 27th FEBRUARY
NINE KENNEL RUNNERS ON THE FRIDAY MORNING HOVE CARD!
Friday 28th February HOVE Runners (Subject to Alteration)
Lobelia was getting her act together prior to finding trouble on her latest run. A clear run would help her chance in the A5 at 11-11.
Glenvale Rosie was very slow away latest after being beaten just a head by Edo Empress on her previous run. ‘Rosie’ will be hoping for improved fortune in the A10 at 11-42.
A drop in grade should help the chance of Collinstown View in the A4 at 11-57. A winner last time he was in this grade!
Coolavanny Keira has been in the wars on her last two runs and will be hoping for a clearer passage in the A11 at 12-12.
Princess Jetta missed her break latest but has been in good form this year! Her usual smart exit will see her go well in the A6 at 12-27.
Classy Molly found lots of trouble in running latest! The drop in grade and a clear run would make her hard to beat in the A7 at 12-42.
Sporting Tracey is in great form and clocking fast times! Connections will be hoping for more of the same in the A2 at 12-58.
Glenvale Paddy was not helped by a very slow break on his latest run. He is looking for a 15th career win in the A8 at 1-44.
Edo Empress got going too late on her last run. She will have no room for error in a tightly graded A9 at 1-58.
