GLENVALE PADDY SAVED THE DAY WHEN WINNING THE LUCKY LAST AT HOVE

Wednesday HOVE Report

After his win on the 12th February GLENVALE PADDY was beaten a total of 15 lengths in his next two races but ‘Paddy’ bounced back to form when winning the last race on the card at Hove today! Showing early pace ‘Paddy’ led from the first bend, and clocked 31.05 (-20) 30.85 calculated, when winning the A9 at 6-11 for his delighted owners Bob Boswell, Paula Boswell, Debbie Forrest and Krystyna Polubinski. The Aug 2010 son of Droopys Kewell was winning for the 15th time! Kennel mate Pretty In Blue did not have a lot of luck in running and was baulked at the first bend and again at the fourth where she was forced to check. She finished 3rd clocking 31.36 (-20) 31.16 calculated.

How Our Other Runners Fared

The July 12 pup Avit On Elsie is slowly learning the game and ran a cracker for her co-owner, Assistant trainer Gemma Byford, when beaten just over a length in the A11 at 2-47. The youngster led from the second bend to the fourth before finishing 3rd clocking, 31.71 (-30) 31.41 calculated, her fastest time!

Collinstown View is running well and put in another good performance in the A3 at 4-08. Showing good early pace he led from the first bend to the run in and was only beaten 3/4 of a length by the Paul Garland trained Slaheny Valley when finishing 2nd clocking 30.36 (-20) 30.16 calculated. Sporting Tracey always puts in a good shift but paid the price for a slow start as she was only beaten two lengths in 4th place clocking a very respectable 30.49 (-20) 30.29 calculated.

Shyan Zippy was slow away in the A9 at 2-08 and ran on well but was still three lengths adrift at the line when 3rd in the opener. Sent off the 2/1 favourite she clocked 31.47 (-40) 31.07 calculated.

The Racing Clubs Classy Molly was sent off the 5/2 co-favourite for the A7 at 5-56 but she was crowded at the first bend and the runaway winner Guinness Flash was gone! ‘Molly’ clocked 31.05 (-20) 30.85 calculated in 3rd place.

Droopys Margaret had been held up in her last two runs but challenged at the 3/4 mark in the A5 at 5-22 and was only beaten two necks behind the winner Crushers Lady at the line! Droopys Margaret clocked a decent 30.62 (-20) 30.42 calculated.

Droopys Bertha was made the 9/4 favourite for the A6 at 5-38 but could only manage 3rd place after racing wide but running on well clocking 30.93 (-20) 30.73 calculated.

Edu Empress held every chance in the A10 at 5-07 but was beaten 3 lengths in the end when 4th clocking 31.25 (-20) 31.05 calculated.

On Your Lonesome was crowded at the first bend and the second bend and that’s a recipe for disaster in a sprint! He will have to wait for his win number 15 after finishing 6th in the D1 at 2-27 where he clocked 17.20 (-20) 17.00 calculated.

Glenvale Rosie suffered a rough trip in the A10 at 3-28. She was baulked at the first bend and crowded at the second bend before finishing 6th clocking 31.71 (-20) 31.51 calculated.

Thursday 6th March HOVE Runners

Ballymac Kerry clocked 30.23 last November and a return to that form would see her go close in the A5 at 7-46.

Philly Eagle is back in Open class but faces some decent rivals in the £50 Free Bet At Coral.Co.Uk Open race over 475 metres at 9-06.

Athlacca Olympic is running really well and deserves a win for his recent efforts! There’s no reason why he shouldn’t go well in the A2 at 9-40.

Cellini is smart when she gets it right and is in great form! She is up in grade for her latest win where she clocked her fastest time at Hove. A decent break would give her a chance in the A4 at 10-11.
