PHILLY EAGLE flew in when landing the D1 sprint at 2-52 at Hove today coming from 5th place to 1st! The June 2011 son of Killahan Phanter ran on well to beat the Paul Garland trained Bringinhersunny just over a length at the line! It was a 6th career win for the Comebackin Club owned winner as he has a Limerick success on his Irish card! His kennel mate On Your Lonesome was back in 5th place having found trouble in running. He was crowded at the first bend and baulked at the second and clocked 17.08 over the 285 metres.

How Our Other Runners Fared

Cellini had won her last two races in fine fashion and was up in grade for the A3 at 2-22. Quick away Cellini was baulked at the first bend but recovered to lead to near the line clocking 30.34

Sizzlers Big Boy clocked 31.05 in the A8 at 4-06 after being baulked at the first bend and baulked again forcing him to check at the 3/4 mark. He finished back in 4th place.

The Racing Clubs Droopys Leonard was beaten 3 lengths in the A4 at 5-28 after being crowded at the first bend. He clocked 30.94 back in 5th place.

Princess Jetta, sent off the 2/1 favourite, was quick away in the A7 at 5-47 and led to the second bend. She was baulked at the 1/2 way point and clocked 31.34 when finishing 4th!

The Norah Mac Racing Club is double handed at the meeting and Ferdia Oscar could take advantage of the drop in grade when he lines up for the A5 at 1-12.
