KIZI Returns With A Sittingbourne Win!
SITTINGBOURNE VICTORY FOR KIZI AFTER A THREE MONTH BREAK!
Sunday 23rd March SITTINGBOURNE Report
Winner
Last years Silver Salver winner KIZI returned to Sittingbourne for his comeback race after his three months of rest. And he had just enough in the locker to hold on for a deserved win. He had gone well in a Wimbledon sprint trial on Wednesday and was sent off the 2/1 joint favourite for Heat 2 of the Sittingbourne Sprint Open Race. The April 2011 son of Big Daddy Cool, owned by the Norahmacnificent Eight, was quick away and led at the first bend. Still to reach peak fitness Kizi held on well to beat the Anthony Collett trained Poetic Lord by 1/2 a length clocking 16.56. Call Me Millie trained by Dean Childs was a further length back in 3rd place and will join the two in next Sundays Final. This was a sixth Sittingbourne win for Kizi and his 11th career win in total. Kennel mate Philly Eagle was slow away and clocked 16.92 in 6th place but he was not disgraced and was just over four lengths behind the winner!
How Our Other Runner Fared
Collinstown View ran well enough in the Sittingbourne Standard Open Race when finishing 4th just over three lengths behind the Carol Weatherall trained winner Holdem Fraser. Collinstown View was sent off at 12/1 and clocked 29.50 over the 480 metres.

Sunday 23rd March HOVE Report
Winners
GLENVALE STEVIE picked up an injury in the Heats of the Romford Puppy Cup last September, and had to be withdrawn from the Semi-Finals after qualifying, when 3rd to Jaytee Seville. The November 2011 son of Paddy’s Flame returned from a six month lay off when he reappeared in a Hove sprint in early March. He advertised his well being when beaten around 4 lengths to the top class sprinter Zenas Boy a week ago and looked impressive when taking the D1 at 11-28 on Sunday. He was quick away and always led and clocked a decent 16.44 (-5) 16.39 calculated when beating the Wendy Short trained How Zat by a length and a half! Owned by the Norahmacnuggets Glenvale Stevie was winning for the third time at Hove. He is highly thought of by Norah and will take his chance in this years Derby competition.
DROOPYS BERTHA stays all of the 515 metres round Hove and does her best work at the finish. She led on the run in when winning the A6 at 1-44. The January 2011 daughter of Droopys Scolari clocked 30.70 (-10) 30.60 calculated when beating the Seamus Cahill trained Tommys Rocket by a length! Owned by Dr H. Ngan she was winning her 8th race at Hove!
SPORTING TRACEY is in great form and was winning for the fifth time this year! The November 2010 daughter of Blackstone Gene stayed on strongly and led on the run in to win the A3 at 1-58. Owned by Mr K. Hazeltine she followed up her win of last Saturday clocking 30.74 (-10) 30.64 when beating the Seamus Cahill trained Kielduff Blitz by one and a half lengths! This was her eighth Hove win and with a Galway and Henlow win on her card has a career total of 10 wins! Kennel mate Cellini got into all sorts of trouble in her run! She was quick away but badly baulked at the first bend. She was crowded at the second and third bends and crowded again at the 3/4 mark. Although finishing in 6th place she did well to be beaten only six lengths! Cellini clocked 31.25 (-10) 31.15 calculated.
How Our Other Runners Fared
Pretty In Blue went close to giving the kennel a four timer when she was beaten just a neck in the A8 at 1-12. She was quick away and led to the second bend. She challenged from the fourth bend but just failed to peg back the Claude Gardiner trained winner Claudes Tom. Pretty In Blue clocked 31.08 (-10) 30.98 calculated.
Westmead Louisa had been well beaten recently but showed a glimmer of a return to form in the A10 at 12-12 despite finishing in 4th place she was beaten just over one length! Quick away she held every chance and clocked 31.29 (-10) 31.19 calculated.
Glenvale Paddy was baulked in the A9 at 1-28 and was well beaten in 4th place clocking 31.36 (-10) 31.26 calculated.
It was a similar story for Ballymac Kerry in the A6 at 12-41. She was slow away and crowded at the first bend and was always in rear and finished 6th clocking 31.25 (-10) 31.15 calculated.
