RELEASE THE ACE   AND   COLLINSTOWN  VIEW   DOUBLE UP AT HOVE!

The wins from Release The Ace and Collinstown View were the highlights for our kennel at Hove on Saturday night but there was some very good performances from our other runners notably Cause Of Justice who was beaten just over half a length and Intayacynthia and Coolscart Hawk who were both beaten just over a length!

Saturday 5th April HOVE Report   (All races Going: Normal)

Winners

We had to wait until the 8-34 race on the Hove card for our first kennel runner of the night but RELEASE THE ACE made the wait worth while with an emphatic win! The April 2012 son of Ace Hi Rumble showed early pace and led at the third bend to beat All Wrong, trained by Jason Heath, by almost three lengths in the A8 graded event. Owned by Mr R. L. Mathurin and Mr P. G. Tomlin the youngster was sent off the 9/4 joint favourite and clocked 30.75 when winning for the second time at Hove.

Our second runner of the night was also a winner as COLLINSTOWN VIEW took the A4 at 9-07 in style. After a slow start and being  crowded at the first bend the January 2012 son of Hondo Black ran on strongly to lead at the fourth bend to beat the Paul Garland trained Lisnadara Lad by almost two lengths! Owned by the Collinstown View Syndicate he was sent off the even money favourite and clocked 30.38 on his way to a 4th win at Hove. A consistent performer he also has a Limerick win on his Irish card!

How Our Other Runners Fared

The A5 at 9-57 saw two of our dogs making comebacks. Coolscart Hawk had been off the track since last August and Intayacynthia had just one race under her belt since her absence. They both ran very well in a race that produced a very tight finish between all six greyhounds. Intayacynthia was crowded at the fourth bend and was beaten just over one length by the Paul Garland trained winner Silkey Suil. Intayacynthia clocked 30.88 finishing in 3rd place. Coolscart Hawk was entitled to need the run but he performed with credit to finish 5th just two short heads behind his kennel mate! The “Hawk” was slow away and despite getting crowded and checking at the first be he clocked a very reasonable 30.90 in his comeback race!

Cause Of Justice ran another very good race in the A3 at 10-30 when he was 3rd to the Claude Gardiner trained winner Droopys Nadine. “Alfie” has been busy and has clocked some decent times over the last few weeks and it was the same Saturday. From a slow break and his wide slot he ran on strongly and was only beaten just over half a length at the line clocking 30.37

Philly Eagle was beaten by Kizi in a Sittingbourne Open on his latest run but was in with more of a chance in the Hove D1 sprint at 10-13. He ran well to be 3rd after first bend crowding and clocked 16.68 just over three lengths behind the Derek Knight trained winner Somoud.

Monleek Diamond was a winner last time out but crowding at the first bend put paid to her chance in the A2 at 9-24 and she finished 4th. Monleek Diamond clocked 30.62 when beaten five lengths by the Wayne Wrighting winner Westmead Mustang.

FOURTEEN KENNEL RUNNERS MAKE IT A BUSY HOVE SUNDAY!

Sunday 6th April HOVE Runners

NOTE!        SWIFT DEBBIE has been added to the A6 race at 1-12 on Sunday

Edo Empress has been off colour but returns on Sunday. She is likely to need the run in the A10 at 11-28.

Glenvale Paddy has not been getting out and hence finding trouble in running. He has been well beaten lately and will need to improve to figure in the A9 at 11-42.

Graiguenoe Royal is pretty consistent and should run well again in the A5 at 11-57.

Athlacca Olympic is usually involved in the finish in this grade and should again run with credit in the A2 at 12-12. He really does deserve a win!

Classy Molly had hinted at a return to form but was well beaten latest. She needs a clear passage to get involved in the A7 at 12-27.

We have half the field for the D1 sprint at 12-41 as Hanover Lady,  On Your Lonesome and Droopys Winnie go to traps. All three would be in with a chance!

Mikeys Guest was well beaten on his latest run and gets a drop in grade for the A6 at 1-12. Droopys Bertha is also in the line up and she will be running on strongly at the finish!

Cellini is useful when she gets on the bunny and will run well if doing so in the A4 at 1-28.

Sporting Tracey has been running well and should appreciate the drop in grade for the A3 1-44.

Ballymac Dainty was well beaten last time out and gets a drop in grade for the A4 at 1-58.
