Brilliant Night For ‘Team Mac’ At Hove!
FOUR KENNEL WINNERS ON THE HOVE SATURDAY NIGHT ALL TROPHY CARD!
AND OUR DERBY HOPEFULS RUN WITH CREDIT IN THEIR WIMBLEDON TRIALS!
The kennel enjoyed a superb ‘four-timer’ at Hove on Saturday night! On the all trophy card our owners Debbie Williams & Mick McCrory had kindly sponsored the ‘Good Luck Ted Stakes’ in honour of their Ballymac Marine and it was fitting that they should pick up two tophies themselves thanks to wins from Mikeys Guest and Watch Matt. Lochys Blue Boy and Cause Of Justice were our other scorers! Over at Wimbledon Viscount Rambler took a knock at the first bend in his Derby trial and was always in rear there after but Glenvale Stevie ran a storming trial and was only just caught on the line after leading all the way!

Winners
MIKEYS GUEST, owned by Debbie Williams and Mick McCrory was our first winner on the night! From a quick break he disputed the lead with Guinness Stevie all the way and only led near the line to gain his third win at Hove. The August 2010 son of Crash clocked a smart 30.29 in the BGOA Trophy Stakes A6 at 7-31. Sent off the 3/1 co favourite of four Mikeys Guest won by a short head. It was an 11th career win as he has 4 wins at Shelbourne Park, 3 at Waterford and one at Newbridge on his card! Kennel mate Swift Messi lined up in trap 1 for this event and he has been in tremendous form this year but he was baulked at the 1/4 mark and finished in 6th place clocking 30.71 just over five lengths behind the winner.
Owners Debbie Williams and Mick McCrory doubled up when WATCH MATT became the kennels second winner on the night! The “New Boy’s Denis Stakes” A5 at 8-02 was sponsored by the Norah Mac Racing Club to mark the arrival of ‘Longrange Denis’ who was purchased for the Club at last weeks Sheffield sales! Watch Matt was quick away and always led for an 8th success at Hove. The July 2010 son of Kinloch Brae took his career total to fifteen and clocked 30.25 when beating his kennel mate Sizzlers Beauty by just over a length. Sizzlers Beauty was returned the 6/4 favourite but he hit the rails at the third bend and clocked 30.33 in the runners-up spot.
LOCHYS BLUE BOY clocked his fastest time when taking the Speedy Memorial Stakes D1 sprint at 8-34. The December 2011 son of Local Honcho was quick away and always led beating the Jason Heath trained Rizzoli Brutus over four lengths! Owned by the Sevenmenandadog Syndicate Lochys Blue Boy was sent off the 6/4 favourite and clocked 16.31 when winning for the fourth time in his career!
Our fourth winner on the night was CAUSE OF JUSTICE who has now enjoyed eight wins at Hove! The January 2012 son of College Causeway won the “Norah Mac Kennel Staff Trophy” in great style coming from behind when running on strongly to beat the Derek Knight trained Girvan Blue. Owned by the Jury Of Ten syndicate ‘Alfie’ was sent off the 6/4 favourite and won by a length clocking a very decent 30.23 for the A4 event. Ballymac Dainty was crowded at the 1/4 mark in this race and clocked 30.94 in 6th place around eight lengths behind the winner.
How Our Other Runners Fared
Sizzlers Big Boy lined up for the Jazz Gibbo Thanks The RGT Trophy A7 at 9-57 and he was baulked at the first bend and badly baulked at the 3/4 mark. He clocked 31.20 in 5th place nine lengths behind the Maria Collins trained winner Buffys Angel.

WIMBLEDON DERBY TRIAL REPORTS ON OUR TWO RUNNERS
VISCOUNT RAMBLER and GLENVALE STEVIE SHOW PROMISE AT WIMBLEDON
Saturday 12th April WIMBLEDON report
Viscount Rambler lined up for the William Hill Greyhound Derby 3rd Trial Stakes Division M at 8-00 against some very smart dogs! He was tracking the leader into the first bend and was knocked from behind and dropped back to be last of the five runners. It was impossible to recover as the winner Sidarian Blaze trained by Charlie Lister clocked 28.15 (+10) 28.25 calculated over the 480 metre trip. Viscount Rambler finished 5th clocking 29.07 (+10) 29.17 calculated around eleven lengths behind the winner.
Glenvale Stevie ran a great trial in the William Hill Greyhound Derby 3rd Trial Stakes Division L at 8-45. “Stevie” produced a 4.80 split and led into the first bend. He took a decent lead into the back straight and ran strongly into the third bend. He led into the home straight and only tired on the run in and was passed by the Irish trained Paul Hennessy winner Barefoot Scholar and the Seamus Cahill trained Droopys Geoff. Glenvale Stevie clocked 28.92 (+10) 29.02 calculated just a length and a quarter and a short head in 3rd place. Assistant Trainer Gemma Byford said after the race “Glenvale Stevie ran a stormer and will come on a bundle for that run. He has done a very fast sectional (4.80) and has led some real good dogs in that race”.
