DROOPYS MARGARET CLOCKS HER FASTEST TIME IN SMART HOVE WIN TODAY!

Only the ‘one’ winner today but our kennel runners are still performing well with ‘five’ 2nd places and ‘three’ 3rd places!

Wednesday 23rd April HOVE Report

Winner

DROOPYS MARGARET clocked her best ever time when winning the A5 at 4-47 by almost 4 lengths! The November 2011 daughter of Tubbertelly Dubh had run well in her last three races winning one of them. Owned by Norah McEllistrim and Ron Stainer she clocked 30.28 (-10) 30.18 calculated when easily beating the Paul Garland trained Newtown Skiptim. This was a fifth Hove win for Droopys Margaret.

How Our Other Runners Fared

Swift Messi was looking for his 20th career win in the A6 at 2-08 and was challenging when crowded at the third bend. “Lionel” had to settle for 2nd place clocking 30.77 (-20) 30.57 calculated just one length behind the Wayne Wrighting trained winner Numero Oonah. Kennel mate Droopys Bertha was baulked at the start of this race and clocked 30.89 (-20) 30.69 calculated a further length back in 5th place.

Cause Of Justice was on a three-timer in the A2 at 2-27 but was beaten into third place just under five lengths behind the Dean Childs trained Coolavanny Marty. ‘Alfie’ was slow away and baulked at the first bend. He ran on well and clocked 30.69 (-20) 30.49 calculated.

The Racing Clubs Hanover Lady had every chance in the D1 sprint at 2-47 and clocked 16.71 (-10) 16.61 calculated when finishing 4th beaten just over two lengths by the Dean Childs trained Coolavanny Muir.

Donnas Gift was up in grade for his recent win and he was unlucky not to follow up when beaten a short head in the A5 at 3-07. He ran on well behind the Dean Childs trained winner Price Of Two clocking 30.75 (-20) 30.55 calculated to finish in 2nd place.

Glenvale Rosie was another of our runners up in grade and she too went close in the A10 at 3-28. “Rosie” held every chance finishing in 2nd place clocking 31.10 (-20) 30.90 calculated and was beaten just a length by Clash Cookie who is trained by Paul Garland.

Release The Ace was also up a grade for the A7 at 4-08. He ran well to finish 2nd to the Wayne Wrighting trained Cill Dubh Colin. Release The Ace was crowded on the run up but ran on well clocking 30.89 (-20) 30.69 calculated just a length behind the winner!

Pretty In Blue was dropped a grade for the A9 at 5-22 but she could not take advantage and finished 3rd beaten four lengths by Ballytag Ella who is trained by Jason Heath. Pretty In Blue, who was quick away and led to the second bend, clocked 31.17 (-10) 31.07 calculated.

Glenvale Paddy performed with credit, despite his rise in grade, in the A8 at 5-38. He finished 4th behind the Wendy Short trained winner Freya Said No beaten just over two lengths. ‘Paddy’ was crowded on the run in but clocked 30.82 (-10) 30.72 calculated.

Sporting Tracey was up in grade for the A3 at 5-56 on the back of her win last Wednesday. ‘Tracey’ produced a storming run from the rear failing by just 3/4 of a length to peg back the winner Bellinter Bear who is trained by Wayne Wrighting. ‘Tracey’ clocked 30.80 (-10) 30.70 calculated in 2nd place.

Coolscart Hawk had every chance in the A6 at 6-11 and was beaten just under three lengths by the Ken Tester trained winner Ardbeg Sue. The ‘Hawk’ clocked 30.88 (-10) 30.78 calculated in 3rd place.
