LOCHYS BLUE BOY STARS FOR NORAH ON RACING POST GREYHOUND TV

Thursday 5th June HOVE Report

Winner

Shown live on Racing Post Greyhound TV LOCHYS BLUE BOY chose the perfect moment to win his first Open race! The December 2011 son of Local Honcho was winning for the fourth time at Hove when beating the Elizabeth McNair trained Shaneboy Jim by one length in the Club Members Chase Open Race at 9-40 over 285 metres. Owned by the Sevenmenandadog syndicate Lochys Blue Boy showed early pace and despite a spot of crowding at the first bend he took up the running and held off the challenge of the runner up clocking 16.51 sec. (Going: Normal) With two wins on his Irish card, one at Lifford and the other at Dundalk, this was a 6th career win for Lochys Blue Boy.

How Our Other Runners Fared

Glenvale Stevie was working his way into a challenging position in the Riverhaven Hotel Chase Open Race at 8-34 when he was badly baulked at the third bend. He had already suffered crowding at the first bend and finally finished in 5th place clocking 28.39 (-10) 28.29 calculated over the 475 metre trip. ‘Stevie’ was beaten three and a half lengths by the Seamus Cahill trained winner Kielduff Blitz.

Athlacca Olympic was beaten less than two lengths when finishing 3rd in the Chilli Tree Hot Shot Stakes (A3) at 8-02. He was crowded at the first bend, second bend and 3/4 mark but stayed on to grab third place clocking 30.70 (-20) 30.50 calculated behind the winner Droopys Willis who is trained by Seamus Cahill.

Swift Debbie was not the quickest away in the Rhonda’s Revenge Trophy (A4) at 7-46 and was badly baulked at the second bend. She was never able to recover and finished 6th beaten eight lengths by the Dean Childs trained Tyrur Blanche. Swift Debbie clocked 31.22 (-20) 31.02 calculated.

OUR EIGHT RUNNERS RACING AT HOVE ON FRIDAY

Friday 6th June HOVE Runners

Lobelia missed the break on her latest outing and gets a drop in grade when she lines up in the A5 at 11-42.

Droopys Leonard is drawn outside a slow starter in Roseys Options and should get a good run into the first bend when he represents the Norah Mac Racing Club in the A5 at 11-57. He is running well and has to be given a chance!

Swift Messi has been running with credit all year and is rarely beaten far. He is holding his form extremely well and another good run is expected in the A6 at 12-12.

Boskill Breeze has struggled twice since a good debut run but gets a drop in grade for the A7 at 12-42.

Coolscart Hawk ran well in defeat on Sunday (beaten less than a length). He gets another chance to shine in the A7 at 12-58.

Cellini is running well this year and was not disgraced in a couple of Open races recently. She should run well in the A4 at 1-27.

There is plenty of pace drawn wide in the A11 at 1-44. Avit On Elsie likes to bowl along in front and must have every chance after escaping a penalty for her win last Wednesday!

Sporting Tracey is in great form! A winner last Wednesday and again on Sunday she is up in grade and on a hat-trick for the A2 at 1-58. Already a winner of nine races this year she will be staying on strongly at the finish!

Runners

LOBELIA,     DROOPYS  LEONARD,     SWIFT  MESSI,     BOSKILL  BREEZE,     COOLSCART  HAWK,     CELLINI,     AVIT  ON  ELSIE,     SPORTING  TRACEY

OUR HOVE AND SITTINGBOURNE RUNNERS THIS WEEKEND

SIX RUNNERS ON THE HOVE SATURDAY NIGHT CARD

Saturday 7th June HOVE Runners

Sizzlers Big Boy finished 2nd on Wednesday beaten a head! He had also run well on his previous appearance and must have every chance in the A8 at 8-18.

Graiguenoe Royal was a beaten favourite in his last race but was in good form before that. A trap one draw will be to his liking in the A6 at 8-34.

Sizzlers Magpie held every chance in this grade on Wednesday but may find one or two too good again in the D2 sprint at 8-51.

Princess Jetta is back up in trip for the A7 at 9-07 after taking in a couple of sprints! She has good early but needs to avoid any trouble!

Princess Pati returned from seasonal rest and produced a brilliant performance to win an A3 in 30.05 sec. Up in grade and taking on a good field in the A2 at 10-30 which includes Cause Of Justice who is in great form himself. ‘Alfie’ is also up in grade after winning his A3 in 30.02 last week!

FIVE RUNNERS ON THE HOVE SUNDAY LUNCH-TIME CARD

Sunday 8th June HOVE Runners

Ballymac Benefit was beaten a neck in this grade last Sunday! Should run well again in the A6 at 11-11.

Droopys Brody was off the track for three months. Ran well enough on his return but may just need the race again in the A5 at 11-28.

Watch Matt found trouble in running on Wednesday. He gets another chance to shine in the A5 at 11-42 on Sunday!

Forget the last run of Droopys Margaret where she was badly baulked. She is better judged on her previous form and the drop in grade should give her a chance in the A4 at 11-57.

Glenvale Rosie is running well and a drop in grade will help her chance in the A10 at 12-12.
