NOTE: CAUSE OF JUSTICE IS A NON-RUNNER ON SATURDAY NIGHT AT HOVE!

No winners this Friday at Hove but Swift Messi, Cellini and Droopys Leonard all ran well in defeat.

Friday 6th June HOVE Report

Lobelia finished 3rd in the A10 at 11-28 after a bit of crowding at the first bend. Lobelia clocked 30.98 (-20) 30.78 calculated when beaten just over four lengths by the Derek Knight trained Roses Posh.

Droopys Leonard held every chance in the A5 at 11-57 where the first four home were covered by a length! ‘Lenny’ clocked 31.07 (-20) 30.87 calculated in 4th place behind the winner Janes Blaze (6/4 fav) who is trained by Doreen Walsh.

Swift Messi has won 19 races in his career and before todays race he had finished runner-up an incredible 41 times! He was 2nd again today in the A6 at 12-12 to take that total to 42. ‘Lionel’ rarely runs a bad race and was sent off the 5/2 joint second favourite. He was crowded at the first bend but recovered to chase the winner all the way to the line clocking 30.77 (-10) 30.67 calculated beaten just a length. The race was won by Swift Sweeney who is trained by Maria Collins.

Boskill Breeze could never get involved in the A7 at 12-42 after being crowded on the run-up and again at the 1/4 mark. She was beaten over nine lengths by the Doreen Walsh trained winner Old Steine when finishing 6th clocking 31.22 (Normal).

Coolscart Hawk needed a clear run in the A7 at 12-58 but he never got it! The ‘Hawk’ was baulked at the first bend and couldn’t get out of 5th position clocking 31.18 (Normal) just over six lengths behind the winner Crackaway Tiktyz who is trained by Claude Gardiner.

Cellini has been in really good form this year and she ran well again today finishing 2nd in the A4 at 1-27. Quick away (4.11 split) she led to the third bend before giving way to the Derek Knight trained winner Joelle. Just over a length down at the line Cellini clocked 30.42 on the normal going!

Avit On Elsie was a winner last time out but she was unable to follow up in the A11 at 1-44. The winner Psycho Jet got first run to the bend and led all the way with ‘Elsie’ chasing hard till tiring off the last bend to finally finish 6th clocking 31.37 (Normal) around six lengths off the Claude Gardiner trained winner!

Sporting Tracey was on a three-timer today in the A2 at 1-58 but she blew her chance at the start. She is usually smart at the traps but never got into the race after a 4.40 split and finishing 6th she clocked 30.75 (Normal) when beaten just over five lengths by the Doreen Walsh trained winner Old Grand Dog.

OUR HOVE AND SITTINGBOURNE RUNNERS THIS WEEKEND

FIVE RUNNERS ON THE HOVE SATURDAY NIGHT CARD

Saturday 7th June HOVE Runners

Sizzlers Big Boy finished 2nd on Wednesday beaten a head! He had also run well on his previous appearance and must have every chance in the A8 at 8-18.

Graiguenoe Royal was a beaten favourite in his last race but was in good form before that. A trap one draw will be to his liking in the A6 at 8-34.

Sizzlers Magpie held every chance in this grade on Wednesday but may find one or two too good again in the D2 sprint at 8-51.

Princess Jetta is back up in trip for the A7 at 9-07 after taking in a couple of sprints! She has good early but needs to avoid any trouble!

Princess Pati returned from seasonal rest and produced a brilliant performance to win an A3 in 30.05 sec. She is up in grade for that success and takes on a good field in the A2 at 10-30. Cause Of Justice is a non runner.

FIVE RUNNERS ON THE HOVE SUNDAY LUNCH-TIME CARD

Sunday 8th June HOVE Runners

Ballymac Benefit was beaten a neck in this grade last Sunday! Should run well again in the A6 at 11-11.

Droopys Brody was off the track for three months. Ran well enough on his return but may just need the race again in the A5 at 11-28.

Watch Matt found trouble in running on Wednesday. He gets another chance to shine in the A5 at 11-42 on Sunday!

Forget the last run of Droopys Margaret where she was badly baulked. She is better judged on her previous form and the drop in grade should give her a chance in the A4 at 11-57.

Glenvale Rosie is running well and a drop in grade will help her chance in the A10 at 12-12.

Runners

BALLYMAC  BENEFIT,           DROOPYS  BRODY,           WATCH  MATT,         DROOPYS  MARGARET,           GLENVALE  ROSIE
