No Saturday Hove Winners For Team Mac!
THREE RUNNERS-UP BUT NO SATURDAY WINS FOR NORAH
Saturday 14th June HOVE Report
Sizzlers Magpie was 2nd last week at massive odds of 14/1. She confirmed that form this week at half those odds when the 7/1 shot was runner up in the D2 at 8-34. Crowded at the first bend Sizzlers Magpie ran on well clocking 16.65 (-5) 16.60 calculated in 2nd place just 1/2 a length behind the Paul Garland trained winner Slaheny Crystal. Kennel mate Farloe Scolari was slow away and crowded at the first bend and finished 4th just under four lengths behind the winner clocking 16.91 (-5) 16.86 calculated.
Princess Jetta has been in pretty good form lately but was no match for Claude Gardiners run away winner Baran Knights in the A7 at 9-07. ‘Jetta’ was quick away and led to the second bend where she suffered crowding and finished in 2nd place clocking 30.69 (-10) 30.59 calculated just under five lengths behind the winner! Boskill Breeze was held up in her run when crowded on the run-up and the run-in. She clocked 31.11 (-10) 31.01 calculated in 5th place ten lengths behind the winner.
Droopys Winnie was up in grade, after last weeks win, for the A5 at 9-41 where as Swift Debbie was dropped a grade. Both our runners ran to form filling 2nd and 3rd places! Droopys Winnie was slow away, crowded wide at the first bend, and again at the third and on the run-in! She did well to grab 2nd place clocking 30.95 (-10) 30.85 calculated two and a half lengths behind the Claude Gardiner trained winner Riverside Diva. Swift Debbie was sent off the 5/2 joint favourite but she was held up when involved in the crowding at the first bend. She recovered and was challenging when held up again at the third bend and clocked 30.96 (-10) 30.86 calculated in 3rd place a short head behind her kennel mate!
Causeiloveyou was sent off the 5/2 second favourite for the A4 at 9-57 but he never stood a chance after finding trouble at the first bend! He was crowded and checked wide stumbling in the process. The son of College Causeway clocked 31.09 (-10) 30.99 calculated in 6th place ten lengths behind the winner Droopys Acapulco who is trained by Seamus Cahill.
Glenvale Paddy was up in grade for the A7 at 10-30 and did well enough to finish 3rd after being baulked at the third bend. He clocked 31.09 (-10) 30.99 calculated almost eight lengths behind the Ken Tester trained winner Vivendi Lewis. Droopys Halo returning from seasonal rest was slow away and crowded on the run-up. She clocked 31.29 (-10) 31.19 calculated in 5th place ten lengths behind the winner.

GLENVALE STEVIE could offer marginally better value than Murlens Crash in tonight’s Blink And You’ll Miss It final over 450m at Sittingbourne (7.04, live on SIS).
Just two spots separated the pair’s winning times in their respective 265m sprint heats a week ago but the betting may suggest there is more between them and the Norah McEllistrim-trained Glenvale Stevie should be written off at your peril.
