WINNERS

‘FLACKWELL SPIRIT’ FOLLOWS UP IN STYLE!

FLACKWELL SPIRIT was off the track for just over two months but the June 14 son of Taylors Sky made a winning return on his comeback from injury when beating Droopys Ferrer by two and a half lengths in a D2 Sprint on the 23rd June! Sent off a 7/1 chance now up in grade for the D1 Sprint at 9-07 he followed up in great style by leading all the way to beat the Derek Knight trained Mineola Duke by two lengths! Owned by Steve Barton Flackwell Spirit clocked 16.52 (Normal) when winning for the 11th time at Hove!

‘DROOPYS CYRIC’ IS BACK TO HIS BEST!

DROOPYS CYRIC  –  his 6th win at Hove!

DROOPYS CYRIC finished 2nd to Mannix Apache on his return after a four months lay off and he delighted his connections by clocking 30.53 calculated when 2nd beaten just a length by Dance Taylor on the 9th June. Two ‘lethargic’ runs followed but the November 14 son of Tullymurry Act bounced right back to his very best in the A5 at 9-41 last night! A 5/2 chance ‘Cyril’ was quick away and always handy he led near the line to beat the Claude Gardiner trained Gemini Princess by 3/4 of a length! Owned by the Norah Mac Racing Cyric syndicate Droopys Cyric clocked a decent 30.46 (Normal) when winning his 6th race at Hove!

IT’S ANOTHER HOVE WIN FOR SPIDERMAN!

SPIDERMAN beat his kennel mate Sizzlers Hawk by just over a length in a D1 Sprint on the 26th May and he followed up in a Hove Sprint Open beating the Simon Harris trained Loggies Ranger by just under two lengths! Despite defeats in his last three runs the June 14 son of Razldazl Jayfkay got back to winning ways in the D1 Sprint at 10-13. A 7/2 shot he showed good early pace to lead at the 1st bend! Keeping on well he beat the Jason Heath trained Caras Rosie Jean by 1/2 a length! Owned by Mr J. Ford Spiderman clocked 16.46 (Normal) when winning for the 20th time at Hove! SIZZLERS HAWK had Spiderman behind when beating  Sporting Dave by almost three lengths last time and the July 14 son of Vans Escalade was sent off the 2/1 favourite! Quick away he held every chance and clocked 16.53 (Normal) when finishing in 3rd place beaten just 3/4 of a length by the winner!

How Our Other Runners Fared

SIZZLERS WENDY was a 7/1 chance for the A11 at 7-31 but the January 15 daughter of Farloe Barracuda was badly bumped when involved in a nasty incident at the 1st bend where two of the other runners fell! Clocking 32.95 (Normal) she finished in 4th place beaten sixteen lengths by Mercury Athena who is trained by Tony Taylor.

SUMMERVILLE KATE was sent off a 7/2 chance for the D3 Sprint at 8-02 making her return after seasonal rest. The July 15 daughter of Forest Master was slow away and after suffering crowding at the 1st bend and again on the run-in she clocked 17.31 (Normal) when finishing in 6th place beaten five and a half lengths by the Tony Taylor trained winner Annies Charm.

DROOPYS BLOOM was the 9/4 second-favourite for the A10 at 10-30 but the September 15 daughter of Tullymurry Act was disqualified by the Hove Stewards after causing deliberate interference to Pollysadiva as she came to challenge at the 4th bend! Clocking 31.95 (Normal) in 5th place Droopys Bloom was beaten just over ten lengths by the Tony Taylor trained winner Nothing Special and will now have to be on her best behaviour in her clearing Trials!
TIMBERLEE LASS was withdrawn (lame) and the April 14 daughter of Blackstone Gene was a non-runner!
