INDEPENDENT JACK missed his break when 5th behind Roffey Bullet on Wednesday and the August 13 son of Kinloch Brae owned by the Norah Mac Racing Club was a 3/1 shot for the D2 Sprint at 11-11. Holding every chance ‘Jack’ clocked 16.62 (-10) 16.52 calculated when finishing in 2nd place beaten just one length by the Derek Knight trained winner Allianz Park.

BALLYSTEEN STAR was beaten a length and a half by Stormy Quenn last time and the July 14 daughter of Droopys Scolari was sent off a 7/2 chance for the A10 at 11-28. Showing good early pace she led from the 2nd bend to near the line and clocked 31.16 (-20) 30.96 calculated when finishing 2nd beaten just a ‘head’ by Suburban Sun who is trained by Maria Collins. Runner-up to Droopys Quintet last Saturday ASSERT was a 3/1 chance and despite making a slow start the July 14 son of Skywalker Ace ran on well to finish in 3rd place clocking 31.20 (-20) 31.00 calculated when beaten just 3/4 of a length by the winner.

TIMBERLEE LAD was a 9/2 chance for the D3 Sprint at 11-57 where despite making a slow start the April 14 son of Blackstone Gene ran on well to finish in 3rd place! Clocking 17.06 (-10) 16.96 calculated he was only beaten two lengths by Westberry Madame who is trained by Tony Taylor.

AFTER SHOCK was a 3/1 chance for the A9 at 12-12 where the April 15 daughter of Superior Product was quick away and led to the 3rd bend! Clocking 31.44 (-20) 31.24 calculated she finished in 4th place beaten three and a half lengths by the Tony Taylor trained winner Droopys Zip.

DROOPYS ROXY was in Open class at Central Park last Sunday and the September 15 daughter of Tullymurry Act was sent off the 5/4 favourite now back in graded action for the A7 at 12-27. Although crowded at the 1st bend she ran on well to finish 3rd clocking 30.63 (Normal) when beaten just 1/2 a length by Shirleys Whisky who is trained by Maria Collins.

OXTED FLYER was a 4/1 chance for the A6 at 1-12 but the June 15 son of Droopys Cain was slow away! Running on late he finished in 3rd place clocking 30.69 (Normal) when beaten five lengths by the Tony Taylor trained winner Al Pawchino.

DERRYADD MARLEY was made a 7/2 shot for the D2 Sprint at 1-28 but the August 15 daughter of Zero Ten was slow away and suffered crowding at the 1st bend! Clocking 17.05 (+5) 17.10 calculated she finished in 5th place beaten eight lengths by Karens Room who is trained by Claude Gardiner.
