And through to 24th June…
Review
It’s fair to say last week brought some highs and lows to the club. Results race-wise were pretty good with many decent displays. Wendy (Hanover Lady) played the starring role with her magnificent top grade Sprint win last Wednesday. Our blue girl put a few shining lights in their place, landing the spoils at a tasty 5-1.
Saturday evening saw Oscar (Lima Oscar) just about manage to put his best foot forward with a last gasp short head win in the A6. As mentioned in dispatches (the Stars of Our Show Page) he’ll generally reward supporters at a working man’s price and this was no exception, 4-1 available with the books.
Honourable mentions go to Horse Outside who did little wrong in defeat and Lenny (Droopys Leonard) whose best effort last week was a sound runner-up spot in an A2 on Saturday evening.
Unfortunately away from the racing the news is not too good. It’s unlikely Droopys Ellen will race on the club strength, having gained a yellow card for being naughty in her trial last week.
Also, whilst Woody (Fleetwood Rocker) is well in himself, Norah has him under a watching brief as we see whether this third dose off anti-biotics clears up his infection.

Club runners swing into action on Thursday’s Racing Post TV (Channel 231) televised card. Wendy (Hanover Lady) sets out to double -up on last weeks heroic effort in the opening event at 731pm. This time in the blue box, it’s another typically hot contest but it’s fair to say our blue girl is in the form of her life, reveling in the Nevill Road Sprint trip.
Oscar (Lima Oscar) gets penalised for his short head win last week with a raise to A5 in the 1.44pm on Fridays BAGS card. This looks a tough ask given Oscar’s general level of form – podium position at best?
Lenny (Droopys Leonard), a beaten favourite in his last two outings, seeks to atone in the A2 at 12.58pm on Sunday’s brunch BAGS card. Berthed in the six box, it’s not too simple with a fast-starting Open class dog drawn on his immediate inside. Our black lad will need to be at his sharpest to grab gold.
