BALIBO MAGS – Impressive Winner!
BALIBO MAGS last win at Hove came on the 8th June when she beat Spiderman by a length in a D1 Sprint! Her most recent win was in a ROMFORD v HOVE INTER-TRACK RACE over 400 metres on the 10th August. Taking her first look at the London Road track she showed good early pace and led from the first bend to power away for a sparkling win over the Philip Simmonds trained Kennedy Flair. The July 14 daughter of Razldazl Rioga owned by the Norah Mac Racing Mags syndicate was a 5/2 chance for an A4 at Hove on the 14th September where she was quick away and led to the third bend before suffering crowding at the 3/4 mark! Tiring near home she finished in 4th place clocking 30.99 (Normal) when beaten four lengths by Liosgarbh Andy. ‘Mags’ clocked 24.44 calculated when finishing 2nd beaten just a ‘short-head’ by Cabriol Aramis in a 2-dog Trial over 400 metres at Romford last Tuesday and was given a drop in grade for the A5 at 10-30 last night. Sent off a 5/2 chance she was quick away and led at the first bend! Keeping on well she beat the Doreen Walsh trained Seanachie Boy by a length! Clocking 30.30 (+10) 30.40 calculated Balibo Mags was winning for the 4th time at Hove!

How Our Other Runners Fared
BALLYSTEEN STAR clocked 30.74 (Normal) when finishing 2nd beaten two lengths by Guinness Five in A8 grade on the 7th September. The July 14 daughter of Droopys Scolari was given a drop in grade for an A9 on the 10th September where she was sent off the 4/5 favourite! Taking full advantage she led all the way to beat Swift Lagan by two and a half lengths clocking 30.54 calculated (her best time) when winning her 2nd race at Hove! She was put up ‘two’ grades for that success and was a 7/2 chance for the A7 at 7-46. Although baulked at the first bend she kept on well to finish in 3rd place clocking 30.81 (+10) 30.91 calculated when beaten two lengths by the Wayne Wrighting trained winner Champagne Maura.
BARNISH PETER was an 8/1 chance for an A6 last Sunday but he suffered crowding at almost every turn! Keeping on well he clocked 30.71 calculated when finishing in 4th place beaten just 3/4 of a length by Scala Spark. The February 12 son of Top Honcho clocked 37.12 calculated when 2nd beaten just over four lengths by Data Olly in a 2-dog Trial over 575 metres at Romford last Tuesday. Barnish Peter was back at Hove for the A6 at 8-02 where he suffered a rough ride! Baulked at the third bend he then checked wide and was baulked at the fourth! Clocking 30.66 (+10) 30.76 calculated he finished in 4th place beaten just under five lengths by Aero Velocity who is trained by Derek Knight.
BABY GOLD led all the way clocking 30.50 calculated when beating Honeygar Jade by a length and a half in A7 grade on the 10th September! The February 13 daughter of Droopys Scolari was up in grade for an A6 on the 16th September but she found trouble in running and clocked 31.11 (Normal) when finishing in 6th place beaten just under seven lengths by Free Runner. She was a 9/2 chance for an A6 on Wednesday but was badly baulked at the first bend and clocked 31.22 calculated when finishing in 5th place beaten six lengths by Guinness Five. Baby Gold was hoping for a clear run in the A6 at 8-51 but sadly she was baulked on the run-up! Clocking 30.93 (+10) 31.03 calculated she finished in 4th place when beaten five lengths by the Ken Tester trained winner Trappers Man.
SIZZLERSCHEYENNE clocked 28.22 (Normal) when finishing 5th beaten just over eight lengths by Glencroft Rumble in the Final of the HOVE DUAL DISTANCE Competition on the 8th September. The August 12 son of Hondo Black was sent off 6/4 favourite for a D1 Sprint on the 16th September and he returned to winning ways when making all to beat Guinness Sun by almost three lengths! Sizzlerscheyenne clocked 16.64 (Normal) when winning his 16th race at Hove and was made the 6/4 favourite for the D1 Sprint at 9-07. Crowded at the first bend after making a slow start he ran on well to finish in 3rd place clocking 16.63 (+5) 16.68 calculated when beaten three lengths by Lemon Arthur who is trained by Jason Heath. SPIDERMAN was a 5/1 chance for a D1 Sprint on the 16th September but he was baulked at the first bend after making a slow start. Clocking 16.92 (Normal) he finished in 4th place beaten three and a half lengths by Sizzlerscheyenne. The June 14 son of Razldazl Jayfkay clocked 13.98 calculated when 2nd beaten just over a length by Sizzlers Apollo in a 2-dog Trial over 225 metres at Romford on Tuesday. He was an 8/1 chance last night but was baulked at 1/2 way and clocking 16.69 (+5) 16.74 calculated he finished 4th beaten just over three lengths by the winner. CABRIOL ARAMIS was back in graded action for a D1 Sprint last Saturday after two recent Open outings. The May 14 son of Blonde Snapper was sent off the 9/4 joint-favourite and challenging strongly on the run-in he clocked 16.67 (Normal) in 2nd place failing by just a ‘neck’ to peg back Whileyouwait. Cabriol Aramis clocked 24.43 calculated when beating Balibo Mags a ‘short-head’ in a 2-dog Trial over 400 metres at Romford last Tuesday. A 5/1 chance for last nights sprint he also suffered ‘trouble’ in running and clocking 16.88 (+5) 16.93 calculated he finished in 6th place almost six lengths behind the winner.
GLENVALE STEVIE held every chance clocking 16.74 (Normal) when finishing in 4th place beaten three lengths by his kennel mate Tip Top Tara in a D2 Sprint on the 11th September. The November 11 son of Paddys Flame was a 6/1 chance for a D2 Sprint on the 16th September and producing a strong late run he only just failed to peg back the winning favourite Ardbeg Holly. ‘Stevie’ clocked 16.83 (Normal) finishing in 2nd place beaten a short-head by the winner and was back in action for the D2 Sprint at 9-41. A 3/1 shot he made a slow start but ran on well to finish 3rd clocking 16.72 (+5) 16.77 calculated when beaten three and a half lengths by the Tony Taylor trained winner Fridays Angel.
TIMBERLEE LASS put in a brave effort to finish 2nd to Bens The Best in A10 grade on the 16th September. Clocking 31.20 (Normal) the April 14 daughter of Blackstone Gene was beaten just a ‘neck’ and she was made a 7/2 chance for an A10 on Wednesday! Slow away and crowded at the fourth bend she finished in 4th place clocking 31.67 calculated when beaten just over five lengths by Axil Tashadelek. Sent off a 5/2 chance when making a quick return in the A10 at 10-13 she again found ‘trouble’ in running! Baulked at the first bend and crowded at the second she clocked 31.25 (+10) 31.35 calculated when finishing in 5th place beaten over seven lengths by Dower Tip who is trained by Ken Tester.

DATA OLLY was an 8/1 chance for an A3 last Sunday but he was slow away and always in rear! Clocking 30.70 (Normal) he finished in 5th place beaten nine lengths by Swift Bono. The June 13 son of Head Bound clocked 36.78 calculated when beating Barnish Peter by just over four lengths in a 2-dog Trial over 575 metres at Romford last Tuesday. Data Olly is down in grade for the A4 at 11-28.

LISTRY ACE
LISTRY ACE was always prominent and clocked 31.12 (Normal) when finishing in 3rd place beaten just over two lengths by Westberry Memoir in A8 on the 14th September. The October 12 daughter of Kinloch Brae owned by the Norah Mac Racing Club was a 4/1 chance for an A8 on Wednesday but she found trouble in running! Baulked and forced to check at the 3/4 mark she finished in 5th place clocking 31.25 calculated when beaten just under five lengths by Maireads Rest. ‘Grace’ now lines up for the A8 at 11-57.
REDSTAR POPPY has been withdrawn (lame) from the D2 Sprint at 12-12 and the February 14 daughter of Kinlock Brae is a non-runner today!
SIZZLERS APOLLO led all the way to beat Nods Mary Sharp by just over a length in A5 grade on the 9th September. The September 13 son of Droopys Scolari clocked 30.52 calculated when winning his 8th race at Hove and was 9/4 favourite for an A5 on the 16th September. He showed good early pace but faded to finish in 6th place clocking 31.10 (Normal) when beaten just over six lengths by Starch Hill Sid. Sizzlers Apollo clocked 13.88 calculated when beating Spiderman by just over a lengths in a 2-dog Trial over 225 metres at Romford last Tuesday and he now lines up for the A5 at 12-27.
DROOPYS TEQUILA was a 3/1 chance for an A6 on the 11th September where she clocked 30.79 (Normal) when finishing in 3rd place beaten four lengths by Maireads Ivy. The September 13 daughter of Droopys Scolari was a 4/1 chance for an A6 on the 16th September where she held every chance clocking 30.96 (Normal) when finishing in 5th place beaten just under five lengths by Free Passage. She is given a drop in grade to run in Heat 2 of the A7 Owner Bonus Series competition at 1-28. A first ‘three’ finish will see her qualify for the Final on Thursday 29th September.
