BALLINTINE SMURF notched up a quick ‘double’ earlier this year beating Breska Lifestyle by two and a half lengths in D3 grade on the 7th January and Modlin Express by three and a half lengths in a D2 Sprint on the 13th February! Without a win since the  September 16 son of Ballymac Vic was well beaten by Jurassic Brett in Open Class at Central Park on his latest start. Back in graded action he was sent off 11/8 favourite for the D3 Sprint at 4-48 and leading near the line got up to beat the Derek Knight trained Roses Twirl by a short-head! Owned by Mr A. Parfitt ‘Ballintine Smurf’ clocked 16.84 (Normal) when winning his 4th race at Hove!


Our Runners Who Made The Frame

A 9/1 chance GREENHILL PUMA got a clear run in the A3 at 3-11 but he was no match for the Stuart Maplesden trained Torrent Miller. Finishing in 2nd place he clocked 30.19 (-10) 30.09 calculated when beaten just over six lengths by the winner.

MINEOLA MARADONA was sent off a 4/1 chance for the A4 at 5-08 where he suffered crowding at the 1st bend! Running on well he challenged on the run-in and finishing in 2nd place clocked 30.01 (Normal) when beaten just a ‘short-head’ by the Stuart Maplesden trained winner Everton Mais.
