BALLYSTEEN STAR clocked 17.22 calculated when finishing 4th beaten just under three lengths by Apple Buttons in a D3 Sprint on the 3rd August. Stepping up in trip the July 14 daughter of Droopys Scolari clocked 30.94 calculated when beating Balibo Ruby by a ‘short-head’ in a 2-dog Trial over 515 metres on the 13th August and was made a 6/1 shot for the A8 at 3-07. Showing good early pace she led at the 1/4 mark and kept on well to beat the Wayne Wrighting trained Suirview Boris by a length! Ballysteen Star is owned by Norah McEllistrim and she clocked 30.89 (Normal) when opening her account at Hove!

‘Olly’ Grabs The “Lolly” For Norah!
DATA OLLY last won on the 18th May when beating Jodema by almost two lengths in A6 grade! The June 13 son of Head Bound was slow away and baulked at the second bend in an A5 last Thursday but still clocked a fair 30.60 (Normal) when finishing 4th beaten just over a length by Isaacs Swift Blu. A 4/1 chance for the A5 at 5-07 he again made a slow start but running on well he led on the run in to beat the Wendy Short trained Droopys Bologna by 3/4 of a length! Owned by Norah McEllistrim Data Olly clocked 30.66 (-10) 30.56 calculated when coming from last to 1st to record his 10th win at Hove! Kennel mate ROCKMOUNT ROBBEN was baulked at the second bend when up in A5 grade last Friday! The September 13 son of Westmead Hawk clocked 30.83 calculated when finishing 4th beaten just over a length by Pennys Bolt. He was sent off the 2/1 favourite today but after suffering crowding at the 1/4 mark ‘Rocky’ clocked 30.96 (-10) 30.86 calculated when finishing in 5th place beaten just under four lengths by the winner.

‘Spirit’ Makes It A “Team Mac” Treble!
FLACKWELL SPIRIT won an A8 on the 20th July but he has found ‘trouble’ in running on his last three runs up in A7 grade. The June 14 son of Taylors Sky was baulked at the first bend and clocked 30.95 calculated when finishing 3rd beaten just over two lengths by Clairekeith Kiri in last Friday and he was a 4/1 chance for the A7 at 5-22. Showing good early pace today he led at the first bend and stayed on well to beat the Claude Gardiner trained Clairekieth Rico by a length! Owned by Steve Barton Flackwell Spirit clocked 30.73 (-10) 30.63 calculated when winning for the 4th time at Hove!

How Our Other Runners Fared
PARADISE ZIDANE was 5/2 second-favourite for an A4 last Saturday but after making a slow start he was baulked at the first bend! Clocking 30.86 (Normal) the January 14 son of Paradise Madison finished 5th beaten six lengths by Outlier Maybe and he lined up for the A4 at 3-48. A 7/2 chance he was bumped at the first bend and clocked 31.55 (-10) 31.45 calculated when finishing in 6th place beaten just over eleven lengths by the Jason Heath trained winner Nods Blue Boy.
DROOPYS RAMBLER last raced when finishing 5th behind Droopys Postie in a D2 Sprint on the 20th May. The November 14 son of Westmead Hawk clocked 16.86 calculated when beating Barnish Peter just over a length in a 2-dog Sprint Trial on the 8th August and was made a 7/1 chance on his return from injury for the D2 Sprint at 4-47. He was slow away and baulked at the first bend when finishing 5th behind the Claude Gardiner trained winner Droopys Postie. Beaten just under seven lengths Droopys Rambler clocked 17.20 (-5) 17.15 calculated but he will have to be on his best behaviour next time as he was marked awkward on the run-in after taking a liking to the trap 1 runner Brinkleys Jet.
