The Brighton Greyhound Owners Association has called an Extraordinary General Meeting for Monday 25th September 2017 in the Nevill Lounge at Hove Greyhound Stadium. Start time 7-30 pm.
If anyone wants to put themselves forward for the position of Chairman please send an email to: elliot@xpress-computers or call 01273 926141 no later than 21 days before the date of the EGM.
The new Chairman and BGOA committee will be voted in at this meeting, so if you fancy a challenge or simply want a say, please put this date in your diary!

Update From The Outgoing Chairman – Bob Boswell

As you may already be aware I stood down as Chairman of the BGOA at the recently held AGM. Darren Baker was the only person at the AGM who came forward as wishing to stand for the position of Chairman and he is attempting to form a committee to continue the work of the Owners Association. Darren has called an EGM for Monday 25th September at 7.30. He will be attempting to obtain a mandate at this meeting where all owners and certainly current members are welcome to attend.

Paula Boswell resigned as Secretary, Dianne Benson resigned as Trophys and Awards, Maria Collins resigned as a committee member as did Norah McEllistrim.
So a number of positions need to be filled.

Dave Staddon and Elliot Mason have remained to serve in their capacities.

I will now be focusing on Greyhound Welfare and my position on the GBGB Welfare sub committee, Paula and I will remain as trustees of Hove Greyhound Welfare and I am hoping to work with Ladbroke/Coral to develop some of the ideas on raising the profile of Greyhound Racing and Ownership as well as Welfare proposed by Paul Ephremsen the Owners Representative on the GBGB.
