WINNERS

SPIDERMAN was slow away and bumped at the 1st bend when 3rd beaten three lengths by Jumeirah Henry in a Maiden Sprint Open race on the 16th March. Back in graded company for the D1 Sprint at 3-28 the June 14 son of Razldazl Jayfkay, who was voted Graded Sprinter Of The Year at last Saturday’s BGOA Annual Awards, was back to his winning ways today! A 5/2 chance he led all the way to beat the Derek Knight trained Dafaoite Junior by 3/4 of a length! Owned by Mr J. Ford Spiderman clocked a really impressive 16.37 (-10) 16.27 calculated when winning for the 15th time at Hove! Kennel mate MANNIX SID beat Sing Song Man by 3/4 of a length on his Hove debut in a D2 Sprint on the 10th March! The September 15 son of Superior Product followed up that win when beating Marys Boy by just over a length last Saturday! A 4/1 chance, now up in grade, Mannix Sid was crowded at the 1st bend after making a slow start and clocked 16.82 (-10) 16.72 calculated when finishing in 5th place beaten just under six lengths by the winner.

‘Mick’ Opens His Hove Account!

FOREVER MICK  –  Off the mark at Hove!

FOREVER MICK was a 5/2 chance for an A10 last Saturday when making his return after illness. The June 15 son of Tullymurry Act finished 4th to Edencurra Strike and he was sent off the 5/2 joint-favourite for the A10 at 6-11. Disputing the lead throughout he got the verdict right on the line beating the Derek Knight trained Winetavern Spy by a short-head! Owned by Karen Browne & Mick Browne Forever Mick clocked 31.49 (-30) 31.19 calculated when winning his 1st race at Hove!

How Our Other Runners Fared

BALIBO RUBY was beaten just under four lengths when 4th to Hamsteronapiano on Sunday and the July 14 daughter of Razldazl Rioga owned by the Norah Mac Racing Ruby syndicate was a 7/2 chance for the D2 Sprint at 2-08. Running on well she clocked 17.11 (-10) 17.01 calculated when finishing in 2nd place beaten just under three lengths by Ragna who is trained by Ken Tester. TIMBERLEE LAD was beaten just under a length by Brinkleys Bobdog last Friday and the April 14 son of Blackstone Gene was sent off a 5/1 chance. Leading to 1/2 way he faded to finish in 5th place clocking 17.20 (-10) 17.10 calculated when beaten just under five lengths by the winner.

AVIT ON BESSIE finished 2nd when beaten six and a half lengths by Droopys Empoli on her Hove debut last Saturday and the March 14 daughter of Shaneboy Spencer was a 7/2 chance for the A7 at 5-38. Challenging from the 3/4 mark she clocked 30.92 (-30) 30.62 calculated when dead-heating for 2nd place with Daylens Volcano (Jason Heath) both beaten just a ‘head’ by the Richard Rees trained winner Tailteann Pearl.
