WINNER
ASSERT – his 6th Hove win!
ASSERT tends to give his opponents a bit of a start and then tries to pick them off late on! He has finished in 2nd or 3rd place in over half of his races but the July 14 son of Skywalker Ace was back on the winners rostrum again today although he had to battle hard for this success! Sent off the 5/2 co-favourite for the A9 at 12-12 he was crowded at the 1st bend and baulked at the 4th. Running on well he beat the Derek Knight trained Nans Bolt by a neck! Owned by Diane Benson Assert clocked 31.24 (-10) 31.14 calculated when winning for the 6th time at Hove!

How Our Other Runners Fared
SIZZLERSBARACUDA was a 4/1 chance for the A9 at 11-11 but the January 15 son of Farloe Barracuda was very badly baulked at the 1st bend and finished in 6th place behind the Seamus Cahill trained winner Who Needs Socks. Beaten a distance Sizzlersbaracuda finished lame and will be fully checked over on his return to the kennel.
OXTED FLYER was sent off a 4/1 chance for the A4 at 12-58 but the June 15 son of Droopys Cain endured a hazardous run! After making a slow start he collided with the rails at the 1st bend and was badly baulked at the 2nd! Finishing in 6th place he clocked 31.24 (-10) 31.14 calculated when beaten ten lengths by Janes Escalade who is trained by Wayne Wrighting.
DROOPYS ELMA was a 7/2 chance for the A3 at 1-58 where the February 15 daughter of Mall Brandy ran a blinder to finish in 2nd place! Although crowded at the 1st bend she ran on well to clock a very decent 30.38 (-10) 30.28 calculated when beaten just a ‘head’ by the Seamus Cahill trained winner Dinner Thetruth.

Prudential Ride London-Surrey
Sunday 30th July 2017
Prudential Ride London returns on the weekend of 28-30 July with more than 100,000 riders expected to participate in seven separate events, three of which take in parts of Surrey.
Roads will be closed in central London on Saturday 29 July and in London and Surrey on Sunday 30 July, so you need to plan your travel in advance.
