ONLY ONE WINNER TODAY BUT ‘CELLINI’ CLOCKS HER FASTEST TIME!

Sunday HOVE Report

Winner

For the obvious talent that CELLINI has her strike rate is poor. But when she gets it right she is a force to be reckoned with. As stated on the website preview she was always going to feel more at home in A5 grade compared to her last appearance, when she finished last behind the Mark Wallis trained Aero Twizzle, in Open company where she was sent off at 50/1. Her patient owners the Norahmactastic Six were rewarded with odds of 5/1 for this win if they had kept their nerve to back her that is! The Jan 2012 daughter of Head Bound was quick away in the 1-28 race producing a 4.15 split. Racing rails to middle she led all the way clocking 30.36 (-20) 30.16 calculated which is her fastest ever run. Cellini now has five career wins from her forty six races!

How Our Other Runners Fared

Judicial Babe very nearly made it a “double” on the day only failing to hold on to victory in the A9 at 12-58 by a Head! Running wide she challenged 1/2 way and led at the third bend to near the line but was beaten a head by the Maria Collins trained Ilovetoboogie. Judicial Babe clocked 31.00 (-30) 30.70 calculated.

Philly Eagle and Pennys Peewee were both winners last time out but neither troubled the judge in the D1 at 12-41. Philly Eagle fared best of the pair when running on after a slow break and a bump at the first bend. He clocked 16.84 (-15) 16.69 calculated. Pennys Peewee was sent off the 7/4 favourite but railing was crowded at the second bend finishing 6th clocking 16.95 (-15) 16.80 calculated.

Westmead Louisa suffered trouble in running in the opener the A10 at 11-11. She was baulked at the second bend and crowded at the fourth and again on the run in. She clocked 31.61 (-30) 31.31 calculated back in 5th place.

Ballymac Dainty was up in grade, for her latest victory, in the A3 at 11-57 but was crowded on the run up and again at the first bend. She was unable to recover and finished fourth clocking 30.90 (-30) 30.60 calculated.

A similar fate was suffered by Ballymac Kerry in the A5 at 12-12. She was quick away but badly baulked at the first bend and was further held up when crowded at the second! She clocked 31.14 (-30) 30.84 calculated back in 5th place.

Avit On Elsie was slow away in the A11 at 1-58 and although she finished 5th the youngster produced her fastest time. The July 2012 pup clocked 31.80 (-20) 31.60 calculated.
