‘Denis’ & ‘Mich’ Get Back To Winning Ways!
WINS FOR ‘DROOPYS MICHIGAN’ AND ‘LONGRANGE DENIS’ AT HOVE!
Saturday 22nd November HOVE Report
Winners
DROOPYS MICHIGAN returned to winning ways with an impressive win in the A4 at 7-46. The May 2013 son of Central City had last won in A4 grade on the 16th October when opening his Hove account. He tried his luck in a Puppy Derby Heat at Wimbledon but had gone a month without further success! Relishing the drop in grade last night ‘Mich’ blasted from the traps (4.39 split) and led all the way to beat the Seamus Cahill trained runner-up Go Katie Go by two lengths! Owned by Dave Staddon Droopys Michigan clocked 30.43 (-30) 30.13 calculated (second fastest of the night) when winning for the 2nd time at Hove!
Longrange Denis – His 9th Win for the Racing Club!
LONGRANGE DENIS does things the hard way yet has a habit of making it look easy! He wins most of his races coming from off the pace which can often mean trouble in running! Last night was no exception as the December 2011 son of Droopys Kewell was crowded at the first bend and again at the 3/4 mark where the talented 5/4 favourite made his move in the A1 at 9-07 and went on to beat the Wendy Short trained Starchill Oak by a length and a quarter! Owned by the Norah Mac Racing Club ‘Denis’, who had finished runner-up on his last two outings, clocked 30.50 (-30) 30.20 calculated when winning his 9th race for the Club! It was his 6th win in his last 9 races! A firm favourite with ‘Club’ members and Hove ‘regulars’ alike Longrange Denis was winning his 8th race at Hove! A Bags Track Championship win at Swindon and wins in Ireland at Limerick (2) and Drumbo Park make up his 12 career wins! This was a 108th winner for the Norah Mac Racing Club!
How Our Other Runners Fared
Lochys Blue Boy was made 6/4 joint favourite for the D1 sprint at 7-31 on the back of two recent wins! Sadly for his supporters he was baulked at the first bend and never recovered finishing three lengths behind the race winner Somoud who is trained by Derek Knight. Lochys Blue Boy clocked 16.89 (-15) 16.74 calculated finishing in 4th place. Kennel mate Ballymac Marine also found trouble when baulked on the run-in! ‘Ted’ clocked 17.01 (-15) 16.86 calculated in 5th place four and a half lengths behind the winner.
Release The Ace was on a ‘three-timer’ for the A6 at 9-24 but crowding at the first bend put paid to his chance however he was beaten less than two lengths by the Wayne Wrighting trained winner Skelees Boy. Release the Ace clocked 31.07 (-30) 30.77 calculated in 4th place.
Runner-up on her last two runs Boskill Breeze was sent off the 5/4 favourite for the A6 at 10-30. But punters knew their fate when she was crowded at the second bend and she had to settle for 4th place two lengths behind the race winner Miss Jolly who is trained by Derek Knight. Boskill Breeze clocked 31.20 (-30) 30.90 calculated in the last race on the card!

Saturday 22nd November WIMBLEDON Report
Barnish Myway was a 14/1 chance for the Wimbledon 480m Hurdle Open Race at Plough Lane last night. Things didn’t go to well when he was crowded at the first hurdle and then fell at the sixth! He completed clocking 30.83 secs (Normal) beaten just over ten lengths by race winner Alittlelesslip who is trained by Bernie Doyle.
